Description

How can I properly describe this story? Hm..

The second you and Jiyong met in the fourth grade, you were practically inseparable. What happens when you're forced to move away? Do you leave behind your very best friend, forever?

 Meeting.

“Hello, dear,” your teacher smiled to you. “I am Ms. Smith, your teacher for the year. I hope you learn lots and have fun!”

You smiled shyly at your teacher and nodded. “I’ll try my best,”

Your mother and new teacher began to chat, leaving you to look around the room. There were a few other parents there with their children setting up brand-new school supplies. Your mother had brought you late so most of the desks were already stocked with shiny folders and wooden pencils. You began searching around for your own desk. Towards the back of the class, was an Asian-looking family consisting of a woman, a female toddler, and a short boy sitting in the desk with his leg under him. You noticed the woman was scolding the toddler in Korean.

“Hey, they’re like us!” You thought happily. You haven’t met very many Korean families before. You walked around the class some more before realizing that you couldn’t find your seat anywhere.

“I guess my seat is over by them,” you thought and walked over to where the Korean family was still residing. You glanced at the nametags on the desks and realized that the boy who sat funny was in your seat. “Hey, you’re in my seat,” you said in a friendly tone, smiling slightly.

“I know,” the boy replied and scratched his head. “My mom needed to sit in my desk to set up my supplies. But my sister is being a pain. She needs her medicine.”
