Foreword

Note: This was one of my not so active stories on Winglin that I eventually deleted because of lack of inspiration. But now that I know a little bit more about this disease, I think I can manage a short story out of this. Please don’t pay mind to the name the story is by. I went by that name I think in the beginning of ‘09 or ‘08...I don’t remember really. Now off to some symptom description!

Minamata Disease is a neurological syndrome caused by severe mercury poisoning. Symptoms include ataxia and numbness in the hands and feet, general muscle weakness, narrowing of the field of vision and damage to hearing and speech. In extreme cases, insanity, paralysis, coma and death follow within weeks of the onset of symptoms.

Further descriptions:

-Ataxia is a symptom that consists of gross lack of coordination of muscle movements.
