Sure enough, unmistakable white fluffs were falling from the sky.   “Look, Hyungsoo, look!” She pointed to her little cousin. Her aunt, who was in the same room, looked amused. Hyungsoo, almost one, glanced up from his toy at his noona.   “There’s snow outside!” Yooyeon practically screamed and pointed at the window. Hyungsoo blinked with the toy now in his mouth, “Gah!”   Her aunt, who had come over for the day, chuckled, “Why don’t you let Mommy and Daddy know?”   “OH! Good idea, auntie!” Yooyeon winked with her thumb up, and took off.   “Mommy, Daddy, there’s snow outside!” She squealed, ponytails bobbing up and down, as she ran to her parents’ study.   “Miss Yooyeon!” Maids in the hall called after her, “Please be careful!”   She ignored them and darted inside. When she saw her parents’ backsides, she plowed straight into her father’s leg.   “Ouch!” She fell onto her bottom, touching her small, button nose. Her father gaped, “Yooyeon!” Instantly, she felt herself being scooped up into his arms.   “See, honey? This is why the maids tell you not to run,” her mother gently chided as Yooyeon’s lip quivered.   “Where does it hurt?”   The child pointed to her nose, and her mother kissed it, “There, all better.” Yooyeon giggled, and the couple chuckled back.   “So,” her father heartily asked, “What did you need to tell us?”   “It’s snowing, it’s snowing!” She bounced up and down with a bright grin, “Can I go outside and play?!”   The two adults shared a hesitant look. Ever since she was little, Yooyeon was very frail, and often missed a lot of school due to her vulnerable health. She needed a lot of sunshine rather than catching a cold in the snow.   “I’m sorry, honey,” her mother eventually spoke, eyebrows pinching together, “Not today.”   Yooyeon’s hopeful face morphed into one of dejection. Her body slumped over sadly.   “Hey, hey, what’s wrong, princess?” Her father adoringly kissed her chin.   “I don’t have anyone to play with. You guys are always busy, Hyungsoo’s too little and only comes over once in a while, and the maids have work. I can only play with L. Joe.” She frowned.   “L. Joe?” The two shared a confused glance. *What a peculiar name.*   “My imaginary friend,” she explained, “He’s very shy, so he doesn’t like to appear in front of you.”   Her parents broke out into a chortle and her mother smoothed out her hair, “Well, sweetie, soon, L. Joe won’t be your only companion.” She stepped aside to reveal what they had been working on for so long.   When her father set her back down onto the floor, Yooyeon stepped closer to have a better look at her parents’ new project. The both of them were inventors, and majored in science and engineering. They had always kept their greatest inventions a secret though, in fear that all their ideas would be stolen. They wanted to live quiet, normal lives.   Her eyes glazed over the figure that sat on a chair. It was still in its early stages, so it was covered in blue metal. The eyes were closed.   “Oooooh,” she exclaimed appreciatively, “What is that?”   “It’s your new friend,” her father explained, “It’ll protect you and wait for you at school. It’ll play with you, too!”   *He’ll play with me?* Yooyeon’s eyes twinkled, “Will he really?”   “Of course! It’s yours, after all.” Her mother beamed. Her mother bent down, “Yooyeon, what do you think it’ll be like?”   “Hmm,” she pondered, “Since he’ll protect and play with me, he’ll be strong. Strong and cool, but kind, too. He’ll have a pretty heart.”   Her parents chuckled. They were trying to get ideas on how Yooyeon wanted her new friend made. They would customize it to her every need. “And then?”   “He’ll have an interesting name!” Yooyeon giggled, “Minwoo? Minseo? Minsoo? Yeah, Minsoo! His name will be Minsoo, but CAP for short.” She patted the android’s leg and smiled, “Nice to meet ya, CAP!”   Her parents almost died of laughter.   Yooyeon didn’t seem to mind as she patted the robot’s leg, “So,” she peered up at her parents with curious eyes, “Where’s the others?”   *   Mr. and Mrs. Lee might have physically made the androids for their daughter’s sake, but Yooyeon was the one that gave them personality. She created their personas. Without their personalities, they’d be empty.   When Yooyeon reached the stable age of 10, she had made an actual friend – an actual human friend – at school. His name was Yongha. She had a hunch, but it felt like he had a crush on her. It was too bad she wasn’t really interested, although she never told him.   Soon, Yongha and Yooeyon became the best of friends, and as promised, her parents made, in total, five friends upon her request – all of whom she called Teen Top. It consisted of Niel, Ricky, Changjo, Chunji, and the leader, CAP, who was the closest to her since he was created first.   All of their personalities were formed by Yooyeon. Her parents didn’t know how she did it, but she did.   *   Yooyeon, who was in middle school, straightened out her uniform and tapped her shoes on the ground. The bell signalled the end of another school day.   A hand suddenly grabbed her shoulder, and she turned around, long black locks and all, to see who it was. Yongha, with his trademark messy black hair and sheepish grin, panted at her, “Ready…ha…to go home?”   A grin dared to overtake Yooyeon’s lips, “I’m ready, but are you? You look like you’ve just run a marathon.”   “I can’t…ha…help it. I ran all the way from the prinicpal’s office,” Yongha caught his breath.   Yooyeon clucked her tongue in disapproval, “Late again?
