Miyoung didn’t move, but merely gripped onto the belt and stared ahead with the nauseating feeling of dread striking the pit of her stomach. She gulped, but Byunghun didn’t notice.   “Seatbelt?” L. Joe merely stared down at the undone straps, “Miyoung, what’s a seatbelt?”   Temporarily forgetting her anxiety, Miyoung replied, “It’s a safety precaution. You strap it around yourself so you don’t fall to your death on the ride.” She fought the urge to roll her eyes. *He doesn’t even know what a seatbelt is?*   “But this looks uncomfortable,” Byunghun grimaced. “Is it really necessary?”   Miyoung didn’t even resist rolling her eyes this time, “Well, do you want to fall to your doom?”   “But I’m—“ Suspiciously, the blonde’s eyes darted around as he leaned in and whispered, “an android.” He raised his voice a little higher, “I won’t die. We’re very agile, you know.”   “I’m telling you, it’s required—“ Miyoung stopped in the middle of her sentence as she thought about what she had just said. A secret, devious smirk took over her lips as she quickly feigned innocence. “But if you insist, I guess we can ride something else that doesn’t require a belt…”   “Hm? There are rides without belts?” Byunghun blinked.   Miyoung evilly smirked, “Of course. We can go look for them. Now let’s just get off this thing and…”   “I’ll wear it!” L. Joe immediately fiddled around with the straps and studied someone who was clipping the pieces of the belt together. *Is this how it goes?* He mimicked the action and straightened up, grinning innocently at Miyoung.   Miyoung made a face at him as her plan to get off the coaster went down the drain. *Fine. Be that way.* She crossed her arms.   “Excuse me, miss?” A voice hesitantly piped up. Miyoung turned around to stare at the worker who was checking all the seatbelts.     “We cannot start the ride without everyone’s seatbelts buckled up.”   “Ah, yes…” Miyoung bit the bottom of her lip nervously. The worker caught that and cutely tilted his head, “Erm, or if you’re uncomfortable about riding the coaster, you still have time to get off…”   *A golden opportunity!* Miyoung’s eyes gleamed as she instantly smiled, taking him by slight surprise, “Actually, I’d very much like to—“   “I’ll get it for her.” A sweet voice chimed in, making the worker instantly bolt up. Miyoung’s heart deflated as she turned to stare (but more like glare) at her ‘saviour’. L. Joe sweetly grinned, “I’ll make sure she’s 100% buckled up. Will that do?”   In slight surprise, the worker awkwardly scratched the back of his head, “Y-Yes, of course!”   “Lee Jinki! Get yourself over here!” Another worker with golden locks snappily huffed, “You’re holding up the ride for all the passengers!”   The worker turned a brilliant shade of red, “C-Coming!”   Miyoung managed to let out an amused smile amongst the hushed chuckles. She stopped when she noticed a pair of eyes staring at her. She turned to L. Joe, “What?”   “Nothing~” He hummed, sliding the buckles into place, “It’s like that, right?”   “…Uh-huh.” Miyoung gave him an odd look until the smooth voice sounded over the P.A. system again.   “Welcome to Phantom Coaster! Please keep your hands and feet inside the ride at all times. Sit back, relax, and off you go!”   Abruptly, the coaster began to move on the rails. Miyoung let out a soft groan and gripped the handlebars. *Oh mercy.*   “Wahaha!” L. Joe instantly became excited, amusement evident in his eyes that seemed to change colour all the time, “It’s starting, Miyoung! It’s starting!”   There were small chortles in the back about the bizarre blonde boy sitting beside her, but Miyoung could care less. All she cared about was the fact that the coaster was going too fast and—OH MY GOODNESS—they were going up the hill.   *NO! HELP ME!* Miyoung sent a panicked glance back at the male worker—Jinki, was it?—and frantically waved at him to stop the ride. Jinki blinked and waved back with a friendly smile, bowing a bit, “Please have fun!”   *No, you DOLT! Get me off of this thing!* Miyoung knew it was hopeless and wished that she could’ve just said no to L. Joe sooner. Who cared if he sulked?! Her life was at stake!   L. Joe cheered as they made their way up their first drop. Unfortunately for Miyoung, this was also the tallest drop in the ride. The boy clapped his hands and put his arms snugly around the bars at his side when he heard a faint whimper.   “Byunghun…”   With a goofy grin, Byunghun pleasantly smiled, “Yes?”   “Can I hold your hand?” She managed to say without letting her voice quiver.   “Sure.” He shrugged and easily held out his hand when Miyoung snatched it and held onto it tightly. L. Joe blinked at the sudden action in mild surprise when he noticed that her fingers were trembling.   “Miyoung—“ L.
