Chapter 40
Falling in love with the EnemyAuthor's POV
"The score is now 34-22, the ~~~~~~ high school Tigers in the lead (the opponent). Let's hope after half time, the Crows can get it together and catch up. In the mean while, we'll be taking a short break." the announcer says while half time starts.
Meanwhile the boys were gathering up in the locker room, "Now, I don't know about you guys, but I'm pretty disappointed with the way we're playing so far. So either you guys play like idiots for the rest of the game or you actually focus and try to win!" Coach Lee almost yells the last sentence.
"Jung, I have no idea what got into you, but you better have your head in the game for the next half." Coach Lee continues then leaves the boys to think.
"Ok you guys, here's the plan." Daehyun starts to explain the plan.
In the gym, the halftime show was starting, and the cheerleaders were the first to perform.
Your POV

On the right count of the music, I bounced to the top of the circle, with the girls holding my ankle, while I pulled the other one to my head. Then, the ankle which the girls were holding started to shake, I was getting off balance. I couldn't hold it anymore, so I quickly did a light jump, instead of twirling in the air, then I ended up back on my feet. When I was back on the ground, I earned confused stares from the team and my coach. But the crowd didn't seem to notice the mistake since they rose in applauds.
I continued the rest of the routine with nervousness.
Then the buzzer buzzed, signaling that halftime was over. Finally. We slowly went back to the sidelines.
"Hana, what was that?" my coach asked.
"I-I'm sorry, I just didn't feel confident." I say.
She shook her head in shame, which made me shed a tear.
"I knew I was the one who always deserved that spot
