His Story and Her Determination

The Artist

As the days and weeks dragged on all you managed to do was help all the other

members of BEAST except Junhyung.

One day, while you were helping Hyunseung clean up the dorm you asked

"Do you think Junhyung-sshi might not just be in a slump, and that he could have

an actual mental illness?"

Hyunseung shrugged

"We pointed it out to manager-hyung and he wanted Junhyung to see a doctor, but

the higher ups in the company didn't want to cause a scandal. he replied.

It was true, even if it wasn't the right thing to do, it was true.

The media would have a field day with only the notion of a depressed idol.

Then the company would come under fire and everything else would go downhill

from there.

You hated to think that Junhyung was sick, but you hated it even more that

things like this wouldn't be adressed properly.

When you left the kitchen you decided to catch up on some reading.

Your favourite online author had recently updated and you couldn't wait.

This chapter was really dramatic.

After a while you heard someon walk in.

You looked up at Kikwang.

"Hyo Ri-sshi, I think you should come see Hyung." he said.

"Wae?" you asked.

"I think he's sick." KIkwang replied worriedly.

You went to Junhyung's room and knocked on the door.

When there was no reply you looked at Kikwang.

This time he knocked and called to Junhyung.

"Hyung, Hyo Ri ans I are coming in okay? Hyung?"

You walked into the room and looked around.

This place was and absolute disaster.

There were crumpled up papers strewn all over the floor, Junhyung's bed was

perfectly made, but his keyboard and even more papers covered it.

All over the wall by his bed in dark purple ink the name "Hara" was written over

and over.

Junhyung was at his desk, his head resting in his arms facing the one window in

the room.

Kikwang touched Junhyung's shoulder lightly.

"Hyung, it's me, Kikwang."

Junhyung turned and looked up at him.

"I brought Hyo Ri here, I think she can help."

The Junhyung who had so rudely treated you before seemed to have vanished,

leaving this fragile almost glass-like person behind.

You were afraid that with one wrong movement Junhyung would shatter into a

million pieces.

"Hyo...Ri?" Junhyung looked at you as if he was only seeing you for the first

time.

"Junhyung-shhi, please tell me what's wrong, I won't know how to help you if I

don't know."

He sighed and nodded slowly.

He pulled a chair for you to sit, Kikwang leaned against the wall.

"I guess it's about time I told you my story."

You sat at the edge of your seat hanging on every word.

Finally everything would be clear.

"I fell in love with Hara from the group Kara, as simple as that.

We were fine with all the rumours gossip and everything else,

as long as we had one another."

He paused before continuing.

"One day when we were driving to a movie. I got out of the car to buy our

tickets and told her to wait.

"When I was coming back, som drunk driver hit the car head on.

She died that night."

Junhyung cleared his throat.

You felt terrible. Of course he would be like this, he had watched the woman he

loved get killed.

Junhyung wiped away a tear from the corner of his eye.

Kikwang put a hand on his shoulder comfortingly.

"How long has it been since..." you trailed off.

"About a year and a half now," Kikwang replied.

You nodded.

Since you knew the situation you were determind to fix the broken Junhyung.

Slowly you brought him out more, to fansignings, meetings or just to walk around

and be out of his stuffy room.

Soon, Junhyung started to pick up his instruments again.

The other members even said that they saw him composing.

You were glad that Junhyung was becoming the artist you fell for once again.

Yet in the back of your head, you sadly knew that he could never be yours.

How could he ever forget someone as amazing as Hara?

Could anyone ever replace her?

Could you replace her?

One day wile you were walking in the park with him you asked Junhyung,

"Do you think people only have one soulmate?"

"What do you mean?" he said.

"I mean, do you think people only have one person who they could truly be in

love with? Is there ever room for more than one person..."

Junhyung stopped walking.

You looked at him waiting for an answer.

With just one sentence he could break you entirely.

If he said 'yes' then there was hope for you.

And a 'no' you wouldn't know how to deal with.

You waited with bated breathe.

He started

"I think...."
