He and I were supposes to be a team.
We were supposed to be partner in crime.
That’s what he said to me in the beginning when I didn’t want him in my life.

But now he’s so different and at times I don’t even know if he’s the man I fell in love with.
His behavior, his actions, and the words he would say to me make me frustrated.

I didn’t know what was wrong with him and whenever I ask he would get mad and walk away.  We fought again a couple of days ago and I left without a word. At the time I didn’t have the strength to argue with him and I couldn’t stand looking at him, so I packed my belonging and left to cool down. It’s been two days since I left and after thinking about it, I decided that it was best if I go back to his apartment and end this fight between us.

Scanning the card on his apartment door, the lock tick and I slowly push the door open. I enter and shut the door behind me as my vision adjusts to the darkness of the apartment. Smiling a huge grin on my face, I decided not to turn the light and just surprised him because I knew aside from the fighting and arguing, we missed one another like hell.

I place my suitcase on the ground and headed toward his bedroom where the light was coming from. But when I finally got to the door, I peek inside the room and instead of finding him alone, I found him lying underneath a woman who is half .  I push the door open and my jaw dropped as I watch them kiss each other passionately. I was in complete shock as tears cascade down my eyes because I couldn’t believe he was able to do this to me.

They both finally stop their loving and turn to face me when they notice my presences. My eyes were glue on him as I covered my mouth with my hands as I started sobbing. He laid there sighing in annoyance without even looking at me. He didn’t even pushed the girl sitting on his abs off of him knowing that I was there.

I had enough of his game, his lies and I was done crying as I ran away from his bedroom, grabbed my suitcase and headed out the door and this time I was leaving for good. I forgave him for yelling at me and for always flirting with other woman, but this time I can’t forgive him. I love him with all of my heart and I would do anything for him, but he’s not the Jay Park, who I clumsily fell for in the beginning of our relationship.  He’s not the man I fell in love with because the man I fell in love with would never hurt me this way.

I waited patiently for him to come get me like he use too, but days turn to weeks. I hate him for hurting me and I wish I can erase him out of my heart, but my foolish heart still yearn for him.  He never came to get me and he never called to apologize. I thought that if I push him out of my dreadful life everything will get a better, but I was wrong because without him I didn’t know what to do and how to move on with my life.

“JESSICA! YOUR MOM’S HERE!” Nicole yelled from down the hall and I could hear my mother’s five inch heel clicking with the ground toward my direction.

“There you are, sweetie.” Dressed in a red dress with her long black hair in a bum, she looked like the goddess of love despite her age.  I managed to smile as she embraced me in her arms. “Come, I want you to meet someone.” She said pushing me toward the door of my bedroom.

“Did you divorce him yet?” I asked bluntly as we walked out of my bedroom. I didn’t have the strength to argue with her about meeting her new husband because I know the results of this marriage already.

“No, I did not and I think he’s mister right.” Ma said smiling as we headed toward the living room where I could hear Nicole talking to someone.  I really didn’t feel like meeting my mom’s new man I knew, it was a waste of my time to even meet him but I was too tired to say anything to her and I just want to get it over with.

“That’s what you said about the last three husbands.” I rolled my eyes at her as we got into the living room. In the living room sat Nicole and a middle age man, who is probably my mother’s new husband. He stood up from his seat and had a smile on his face when he laid his eyes on me.

“Wow, beautiful just like your mother.” He said as he held his hand out to shake mine. I quickly shook his hand and bow before taking a seat beside Nicole. I sigh as I watch my mother hold onto his arm and they sat on the sofa across from Nicole and I.  He seems really nice and very wealthy, a suitable candidate for my mother just like my mother’s ex-husbands.

I didn’t say much as he kept on talking about how happy he is to have me in his life and how grateful he is to have such a beautiful caring wife like my mother. His words were meaningless to me because I know my mother all too well, she never stay with a man and will probably (I’m 99 percent sure) that she will divorce him within six months.

However as I sat there listening to him talk about our future plans together as a family the door bell rang. Nicole stood up immediate and offers to get it, so I sat back and continue to pretend to listen to him.

“Sorry…” My head jerked up when I heard his voice. There he stood, bowing to my mother and her new husband, ignoring my presences. I stood up from my seat with tears in my eyes when I saw the man I’ve been waiting for in front of me. I told myself that if he does come to get me and apologize for what he did, I would ignore him and not cry, but the moment I heard his voice my tears backfired on me and fell down my eyes.

“J…Jay?” I said taking a step toward him, but I stop in my track when I heard my mother’s voice.

“Jessica, you know Jay?” I was about to open my mouth to say something, but Jay interrupted and answered my mother’s question for me.

“We met at school a couple of times...” he said ignoring my stares. I was confused at his statement and I didn’t know why he wouldn’t tell my mother that we’re actually a couple, but my stepfather’s next word sent shockwave through my entire body.

“That’s great, son-in-law. Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I froze when I heard what my new father said to him. Jay didn’t dare look at me, and I couldn’t move my eye from him either. Nicole, who was standing next to me, was also completely shocked as I was when we heard what my stepfather address him as his son-in-law.

“Hey, guys sorry I’m late.” A beautiful girl entered the house and stood beside Jay as she pulled her sunglasses off. Dressed in pink dress, with her brown curly hair behind her ear and with the five inch heels that she was wearing, she was the type of girl that girls like me love to hate.  As much as I hate to admit it, she’s so pretty that I felt like shi.t because I have no makeup on, my hair is as messy as a bird nest and I’m wearing nothing but a pajama pants and a plain white t-shirt that is too big for my tiny figure.  “You…” She turned to look at me with a smile on her face and approach me. “You must be Jessica Jung, my new little sister” she said embracing me tightly. My eyes never left Jay as I stood there frozen at the sudden news.

My mother’s new husband daughter, who is now my step sister is, married to the man I love, whom I had no idea was married in the first place.

“Shi.t, Yuri didn’t I tell you to stop stinking my car with your perfume.” Everyone in the room turn their attention to whoever that had just enter the apartment and seeing us all looking at him, he smiled awkwardly before waving his hand up in the air and mutter a nervous “Hi” I swear to god my heart just stop beating for a minute when I saw his face.

“Lee Joon?” I said after a few moment of observing his familiar face to make sure that he’s the man I think he is. All eyes in the room turn to look at me when I said his full name, but I ignore their stare because all my attention was now focus on the man who had just enters my apartment.

He also turned to look at me, confused for a slight moment then a smile form on his face and he smiled ear to ear. “Hey, what are you doing here?” He asked shocked to see me again after so many years and right when he said that I could feel Jay turning his attention to me.

“You know my son?” My stepfather asked looking at me as I turn to look at him. I was speechless and as surprised as my stepfather was and with that I out.
