Chapter 5 : Beautiful
Pushing Key Away
"Areumdaweo~" Key sang while walking along the sidewalk, eyeing the shops for any clothes that fit his interest.
He hadn't gone shopping for two weeks and how happy he was since his credit card is loaded.
He was already holding some shopping bags on both of his arms but he was still uncontented. Blame the drama he had gone through the weeks.
After purchasing several more clothes, he eventually got tired and decided to settle in a cafe nearby.
"Key, you're alive." The cashier greeted him.
"Is that the way to greet a regular here, Sunny?" Key asked.
"Well, you haven't been coming for like two weeks. You're not a regular." Sunny pointed out.
"Then why don't you treat me today Sunny-noona? Maybe I'll be a regular again." Key proposed.
"Only calling me noona when you want something." Sunny muttered.
Key chuckled.
"I'm guessing its the usual." Sunny asked.
"Well, you know me." Key paid and left the counter.
"Went shopping again, huh?" Sunny said, finally noticing him holding shopping bags.
Key sat near the window to watch the people passing by and maybe spot some handsome guy.
He was not desperate to get over Minho. He just wanted some vitamins for his eyes.
Moving on wasn't that easy. He had been there, done that.
"Here's your order, Key-ah." The waitress put down the order on the table.
"Thanks, Sica-noona." Key smiled at her.
"I heard from Jjong, Key-ah.." Jessica said.
"That dino really can't keep his mouth shut." Key sighed.
Jessica leaned down near Key's ear.
"Yuri denied that they're dating." Jessica whispered.
She winked at him and left.
"Yeah, right. They are not dating even though its so damn obvious." Key scoffed.
"Is this seat empty?" A guy asked, pointing at the chair across Key.
Key looked up and was shocked.
"Yo-yong-guk?" Key stuttered.
"Key? Hi, long time no see. How have you been?" Yongguk smiled and sat down.
"Yeah. Fine as ever, you?" Key asked back.
"Same. Wow. Look at you. You became more beautiful." Yongguk complimented.
"Uhm, thanks." Key somehow got embarrassed.
"You're still close with Taemin?" Yongguk asked.
"Yeah. We live together." Key answered.
Yongguk raised an eyebrow.
"We live in a dorm with three other guys."
"Oh. Well, you always had a mother-and-son relationship. So, how is he?"
"He's fine. He has grown to be a fine young man."
"Oh. Can't wait to see him."
They talked and talked about the times they spent together and their high school memories.
Time flew by and it was already early evening.
"I have to go. Still need to cook dinner."
"I'll walk you home." Yongguk stood up and grabbed all the shopping bags.
"You don't need to do that." Key shook his head.
"Its fine. C'mon!" Yongguk started to leave.
Key followed him out of the cafe.
They continued their topic as they walk.
As they were walking, Key suddenly saw Minho and Yuri hurriedly walking out of a building.
Minho was wearing a suit and so was Yuri.
They were heading for a parked black car.
Minho noticed him.
They stared at each other for a moment.
Minho shifted his stare to the guy beside Key and frowned.
"Min, we're gonna be late." Yuri called, already seated on the passenger's seat.
Minho broke his stare and proceeded to the driver's seat.
Yuri also noticed Key and gave him a wave.
Key smiled at her.
The car engine started and Minho drove off.
"Someone you know?" Yongguk questioned.
"One of my dormates." Key told him.
They resumed walking and talking.
"You mad?" Yuri asked.
"Why would I be?" Minho furrowed his eyebrows.
"You're jealous then because Key's with a handsome guy."
"I'm not. Topic closed."
"It hurts, right? To be jealous." Yuri looked out the car window.
Minho just stayed silent.
"Thanks for walking me and bringing those." Key gave him a smile.
"Your welcome. Hope to taste your cooking soon. You know, just like the old times." Yongguk handed him the shopping bags.
"I'll invite you over dinner next time." Key guaranteed.
Yongguk hugged him.
Key was surprised but then hugged him back.
"I should get inside." Key broke the hug.
"Say hi to Taemin for me. Bye!" Yongguk winked at him and walked away.
Taemin was in the living room, flipping through the TV channels.
"I'm home!" Key called out.
"Welcome back!" Taemin responded.
Key dropped the shopping bags beside the couch.
"That's a lot." Taemin commented.
"Tae, you'll never guessed who I met today." Key giggled.
Taemin's eyes twinkled.
"Who did you meet?" Taemin excitedly asked.
"Yongguk, my high school crush." Key squealed as he walked to the kitchen.
The twinkle in Taemin's eyes was gone.
"You remember him, right? He says hi to you." Key told him from the kitchen.
"Minho, I think I'll be over you sooner than I expected."
Key smiled.
"But my heart still hurts. Why did I have to see you?"
A tear rolled down his cheeks.
While in the other room.
"Yongguk, you damn ."
Taemin cried.
His eyes were full anger and hatred.
