Chapter Four: The Accident That Brought Me Pain

Be My Girl

As I heard the word “accident” I burst into tears.

I was very loud but no one was around to hear.

I felt someone tap on me, “Sae Ra, are you alright?” It was Jinyoung

I tried to ignore him but he turned me around.

I pushed him out of the way and started to run, I felt as if I’d dropped something, but I didn’t dare look back.

Jinyoung’s POV

What’s up with Sae Ra? I wondered

I looked down and saw a phone on my shoe, it was her phone.

I tried to unlock it but I couldn’t guess the pass code.

As I failed to unlock her phone I noticed that I was her lock screen picture.

I smiled and laughed.

I decided to go back to the dressing room.

I sat down and whispered to myself.

“I’m her lock screen pic.” I giggled

Wait, now that I think about it. Why was she crying?

“Noona, are we busy later?” I asked Junni Noona.

“I think the manager said something about a club to celebrate.” She replied

She noticed the phone I was holding wasn’t mine.

I quickly tucked it in my pocket and acted like I didn’t see her.

“Why, do you have something important to do?” She asked as if she knew what I wanted to do.

“Yeah, kinda” I replied with a shy smile.

“Well then meet us in an hour at the usual club, Okay?”

“Okay.” I replied

I ran down the stairs and didn’t bother using the elevator. I saw Sae Ra getting into a taxi.

“Taxi” I yelled!

A taxi stopped and I got inside.

“Ahjusshi, follow that taxi.” I commanded.

I followed Sae Ra.

We ended up at the hospital.

“The hospital?” I asked myself

I paid the ahjusshi quickly and saw Sae Ra running inside.

I followed without her noticing. She looked worried. I heard Sae Ra yelling from the corner I was hiding.

“NO! NO! NO! THAT CAN’T BE TRUE! She yelled as she cried.

I turned to take a look and she was on the floor crying.

My legs started to move to her direction. I picked her up but she kept squirming around.

“THAT’S NOT TRUE; SHE SAID SHE WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME!” She yelled.

She kept crying as I picked her up and took her outside.

I sat her on a bench outside to calm down.

I began to hug her.

“Let it out” I said to her as I tapped my hand on her back.

She cried for an hour nonstop on my shoulder.

“Sae Ra, I think you cried enough?”

I looked at her face full of tears, more than when she started.

“Do you mind telling me what happened?” I asked.

She wiped her face and cleared .

“My mom…died.” She said.

My eyes went big; I felt a tear coming down my face.

“Noona…died?” I asked

She began to cry again, and now I began to cry to.

Noona was like a mother to me, she was such a caring person, and she didn’t deserve death.

I drove Sae Ra home.

“Are you sure you’re going to be alright?” I asked, making sure.

“Yeah” she replied flatly.

“Well then I’ll be going.”

She walked into her house slowly and didn’t look back.

Sae Ra’s POV

I walked in and saw a big banner that said “Congratulations”

I began to cry again, this time it was worse than before.

I kept walking and saw bimbimbap in the kitchen, my favorite food.

I cried louder.

From the corner of my eye I saw something on the table, a present. I opened it and saw B1A4’s new album, and an envelope. I opened the envelope and found a necklace, her necklace. I began to read the note.

Sae Ra, I’m so proud of you. You really are my daughter; you styled B1A4’s hair great today. (Maybe even better than me)  I want you to have my necklace. You know that it’s my prized procession, so I want you to take good care of it. I LOVE YOU!

P.S. You could have tightened Cnu’s ponytail a little more.

Sincerely, Mom

I began to cry even louder, it was hard to breathe.

“Mom!” I yelled on the top of my lungs.

That night I cried myself to sleep.
