Make a Wish
You sat silent and unnoticed on the couch, watching Siyoon kick off his shoes.
"Mean hyungs, why do I have to clean up the dorm alone while they all shop?"
He muttered to himself, pouting at being singled out.
You smile to yourself as he throws his coat on the floor, obviously rebelling, silly thing.
"Who taught you to throw your clothes on the floor?" You questioned, laughing when Siyoon jumps at the sound of your voice.
"Noona! You scared me!! Why are you here?" He ran over and practically threw himself at you in his excitement to hug you. "..how are
you here?!" He pulled back from the hug and looked at you with suspicion.
"I am a woman of mystery Siyoon, noona can't tell all her secrets." You winked at him and chuckled at his pout.
"As for the 'why', I can't miss my Siyoon's birthday now can I?"
Your heart warmed as you watched his pout shift into an expression of joyous surprise.
"You remembered??"
"Of course! Who do you think sent your bandmates away so we could have some Noona/Siyoon time? They'll be back in an hour with
some pizza for us all, so let's make this time count, ok?" You stood up and pulled him into the kitchen, where you had a cake waiting
for him. You lit the candles quickly and turned back to him, with a stern expression.
"My Siyoon is an idol singer now..but even so, you're not allowed to laugh at noona's bad singing, ok?"
"Noona, you don't sing bad!"
"That's my sweetheart. Noona knows it's true but keep pretending you like it!" You laughed and sang Happy Birthday to him.
"Okay, make a wish a blow out the candle, quick before the wax melts everywhere!"
Siyoon smiled at you, closed his eyes and blew out the candles.
The room was silent for a minute before you couldn't take it any longer.
"No, I need to know. What did you wish for?? Come on, tell noona!" You poked his shoulder in what was a supposedly "cute" fashion,
hoping that would help convince him to give in to your curiosity.
"I can't tell you noona. If you tell someone it won't come true." He laughed at your silliness. This was almost a ritual for you two. Most
of the time your curiosity got the better of you and you ended up wheedling Siyoon's wishes out of him. Secretly he loved it. he always
loves when you act cute with him.
"Come on, pleeeeeeaaaase~ Tell me! Your noona will make sure it comes true."
Siyoon stared at you, you could almost see the gears turning in his head.
"Do you really want to know?"
"Yesss!! Siyoon, you know I'm a slave to curiosity!"
He looked at you in silence again. You were really curious now, you assumed he would wish for a good year for A-Prince or for them
to win on one of the music shows or a puppy. He always wished for puppies..
"Was it the puppy again?" You asked, frowning. "I wish I could get you a puppy Siyoonah but your dad is allergic and now that you live
with your bandmates, you might not even have time for it."
Siyoon blushed and looked at his feet.
"Mian Siyoon, I really wish I could make your wish come true but.."
"Noona... Can I tell you a secret?" Siyoon interrupted.
"Uh..of course.." You were a little thrown off by the interruption.
"I didn't wish for a puppy. I haven't wished for a puppy since I was old enough to understand about appa's allergies." He confessed.
Now you were very confused.
"But...all those times..?"
"I lied to you noona. I didn't want to tell you my real wish." Again he looked down at his feet. You wanted to tell him you weren't mad
that he lied to you but you really did feel hurt. Siyoon never lies to you. Or so you'd thought.
"You wanted the wish to come true so badly that you told me a fake wish?" You asked, confused but tring not to sound too upset.
"It is a very important wish noona..but also I feel a little shy about it..." There was a pleading in his voice that forced you to forgive him.
You could never stand to see him anything but happy.
"I would never make fun of you Siyoon. I know I tease you sometimes but I didn't think you-"
"No noona that's not it. I-" he crashed his lips against yours.
Your heart stopped.
Then it started again, beating so hard you thought it would burst out of your chest. Siyoon was kissing you.
Before you had a chance to do anything, he pulled away, his own eyes wide and cheeks red with embarrassment.
"I'm sorry noona, I shouldn't have done that-"
"Was that your wish Siyoon? To get a kiss?" Scared for his answer.
His cheeks managed to get even redder.
"Yes. Well no. Not just a kiss. A kiss with YOU.. I like you noona. I know that you don't return my feelings. You probably have some
older, guy-"
You waved your hand in a gesture to get him to stop talking.
"So, all those times you told me you wished for a puppy....?" Siyoon nodded, biting his lip. "Can you forgive me noona? I don't want to
ruin our friendship!"
"Forgive you?!" Siyoon looked at you, he looked close to tears. "Babo. I'm not going to forgive you. I need to thank you." Siyoon
looked at you in confusion and you wiped away the stray tear that rolled down his cheek.
"You made my wish come true too. I've liked you for a while now. Every night I wish that I can make you fall for me too..."
Siyoon's pent up emotion bursts out as a single laugh as he pulls you into a tight hug.
"This had better not be a prank and if it's a dream, I don't want to ever wake up. It will be difficult but I adore you noona and I would do
anything to make you happy. Will you let me? Will you be my girl?" He pulls away enough to look into your eyes and wait, breath held,
for your answer.
You look from his shining eyes down to his lips and lean in for another kiss, whispering your consent just before your lips meet his.
