Lee Kira / Kira Lee: Born and raised in the US (where the story takes place), though she's half Korean. Dad being of asian orient. She's quite shy and loves music and poetry. Her obsession with peppermint is huge, along with her love for pandas. The reason many avoid her is because of her awkward nature. She never knows what to do in new situations, and will often spout out random observations of the person talking to her. A quirky habit of hers, she notices little things about people or her surroundings. She knows Lee Hi, one of her close friends, will tap the tab of her pop can exactly 3 times before opening it. Every time. She knows Sungjong wears something blue every thursday, for it's his "lucky day." She knows there's exactly 2,578 tiles on the ceiling in the school cafeteria. That's just the way she observed things, she was a natural wallflower. Kira is 17 and in her Junior year (11th grade.)

Lee Sungjong / Sungjong Lee: Being Kira's best friend, naturally he's a bit of an outcast as well. He does have friends, and many admirers. The girls love his cute nature and diva moodswings, but most guys refere to him as the gay of the school. This gets him bullied, mostly with harsh words, so he doesn't care really. When anything physical happens, Lee Hi is sure to step in.Though he has feminine features and a bit of a girlish attitude, Sungjong is far from gay. His infatuation with Kira proves it. But he's good at keeping those feelings under wraps, so no one really knows. He'll do anything for her, even going as far as to pick out her clothes if she couldn't decide herself. His strong sense of fashion makes him the best gift giver. Sungjong is 17 and in his Junior year (11th grade.)

Lee Lee Hi / Lee Hi Lee: Kira's second and last friend on the list. She's the most independent girl you'll ever meet, which makes her the perfect canidate for the student body president. And she's not afraid to remind anyone of her high status. Though she's quite tough, she baby's Kira and treats her as her own child. Kira seems to be her only weak spot overall. Since her family moved to the States when she was 9, she can still speak fluent Korean, which helped when showing the new guy around. Lee Hi is 16 and in her Junior year (11th grade.)

Kim Sunggyu / Sunggyu Kim: The new guy around town He's a bit quiet, but that's only because his English is scarce. He can seem pretty intimidating when you first meet him since he always looks bored and nonchalant about everything. Some girls like him, others don't. New students are the norm for Woollim High, so nobody really sees anything interesting about him. He does catch some eyes, though, with his mysterious aura. You'll rarely catch him talking, English or Korean. What no one really knows is that he has a passion for singing and secretly loves karaoke and manga. His lisp comes out whenever he gets nervous, giving him a cute image. Sunggyu is 18 and in his Senior year (12th grade.)
