The Bewitching Hour: Welcome to the Cirque de Lumière is an AU (Alternate Universe) roleplay set on the grounds of the eerie Cirque de Lumière. Run by reluctant business partners The Ringmaster and The Fortune Teller the circus is a refuge for those who for one reason or another cannot pass into the next world. Stuck in a state of purgatory, the inhabitants must continue perform until they are able to reconcile themselves with whatever reason keeps them bound to this world. On the grounds of Cirque de Lumière the residents can live(?), laugh and cry together, and when the lights go on they will put on the best show of their lives. Time, and time again, for what does time matter to the damned?
