DONGHAE’S POV

It was cold winters day, I remember it like the back of my hand, it was the day I confessed to her, it was snowing and we were at a nearby park, when I gathered up my courage and confessed. I started off with nothing, and yet she accepted me the way I was, it was two years since we started dating, it was our anniversary is on that day, I was planned to ask for her hand in marriage, of course I had the ok’s from her parents and friends, my mother was  extremely happy when I told her too, it’s about time I get my happy ending, we where  meeting at a park, that same park, where I confessed, you can call it our “special place” not a lot of people come here this season because it’s so cold, well, I haven’t introduced her have I? her name is Kim Eunhee, she’s a professional pianolist , she plays a musicals and places like that, I visit her every time she does a show, and I’m still mesmerized every time I listen to her play.

“EUNHEE-AH!!!” I called while running towards her

“Huh?”She said as she turned around “DONGHAE OPPA!! She cheered and hugged me,

“Eunhee-ah, I have to tell you something” I said seriously

“Hmm, what is it?” she asked worried and curious tone

“Eunhee-ah, you know I love you right?” I asked

“Neh, why are you saying this?” she asked

I knelt to the ground and asked “Kim Eunhee, I would like you to know that you’re the woman of my dreams, and I want to spend every single one of my breaths with you from now on, even though I don’t have the perfect ring yet, will you marry me?”

“Chincha?” she said as tears rolled down her cheeks

“Of course” I said while smiling,

“Yes!” she exclaimed “of course!!”

I smile and pick her up by her waist and kiss her lips, this was the happiest moment of my life, I wish I could pause life at that moment, but that’s not possible, is it? After 2 months of planning, it was d-day, and of course everyone was excited, I think my mother was about to explode in excitement, and when I asked her if I could see my perfect wife she started to scold me, sometimes I think that she’s the one getting married because she’s so excited kekeke~,

hmmm… this story is perfect so far isn’t it? But of course fairytales can’t always be happy, Cinderella always had her step sisters, Snow white always had the evil witch, well me? I was in the limo on the way to the church; my heart was jumping out of my chest, I remember looking at a picture of us on our first date, then there was loud crashing sounds, my world was spinning, but that picture of her never left my mind while In the accident ,

 After that day everyone was informed of the situation, I was in a coma, and no one knew when I would wake up or if I’d wake up at all, Eunhee was devastated; she visited me at the hospital every day, even if she had to go to work, she’d visit me early in the morning, how did I know? No I wasn’t awake, I could hear everything, I just couldn’t move, speak, see or feel anything . It breaks my heart when I hear Eunhee cry and I can’t do anything about it.

 One day a doctor came in and said If I didn’t wake up in a week my blood would start clotting, by now I only have a 30% chance of waking up, my heart stung  when Eunhee cried then, I just wanted to go over to her , hug her and tell her everything would be ok. After another two weeks I could tell people were losing hope, but I still strive to live,

it was one day that week, I saw light, it’s not that I opened my eyes, I just saw light, I knew what was on the other side, but I didn’t want it, I’m not ready for it yet.

“How are you? Donghae” I familiar voice called out to me, I knew who it was, some one that I miss so much,

“Neh, I’m ok appa… how about you?” I asked

“I’m ok actually; you really love that girl don’t you?”

 “Yeah, I love her a lot” I said

“It’s not your time yet, Donghae. But do you really want to go back?”

“Of course; I want to live, to see her face one more time”

“If that is your wish, tell your mother and Donghwa I love them”

“I love you too dad, I’ll visit you soon!” I said

“I love you son, goodbye”

Then I had this feeling I’ve never experienced before, it felt like all my burdens where lifted, I felt EunHee holding my hand as I slowly opened my eyes, there she was right in front of me, my angel.

“Donghae…” she whispered

“Hmm?”

“You’re awake!” she exclaimed as she hugged me, I lifted her face up and I saw tear stains running down her cheeks

“Stop crying, I’m here now, everything’s ok” I said as I hugged her back

“I’ll go call a doctor to see if you’re really ok or not!” she exclaimed with a smile, that smile that I love so much.

As the doctor came into the room he was shocked because how well I could speak and move, even if I just woke up from a coma, I knew who had helped me, my mom came in crying when she heard woke up, and when I told her that dad said he loved Donghwa and her she started sobbing harder, so I sort of regretted telling her so early, after an hour, late as always Donghwa came in and apologized for being so late, hmmm…you can’t live with him, you can’t live without him…can you?

As another past since that happened, I was all healthy and I just got discharged out of the hospital! I swear all they do is stab you with food there urgh, I was happy though! I can go outside with EunHee now; I can go to her shows, this particular day was special though, you’ll know why

“Eunhee-ahh~” I sang

She chucked and said”what is it this time fishy boy?”

 “let get married again!”

“huh?” she exclaimed

“Well we didn’t have a proper wedding, plus I have a ring now!, I don’t want all thoughs other guys staring at my beautiful wife-to-be “

“You’re really crazy aren’t you?” she said

“Yes actually, yes I am, crazy in love!” i exclaimed

“Ahh~ so cheesy!!!” she said

“Well get used to it cause you gonna by Mrs. Lee Donghae soon and you’ll be surrounded by cheesy lines!!”

“Aw, save me from the terror

“is it that a yes ?” I asked

“of course!!”

“WOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!” I screamed while picking her up by her waist!! “WE’RE GETTING MARRIED!!!” I announced proudly.

Yup in another two weeks we made all the REreservations to the church we wanted to get married at, and once again my mother was exploding with excitement,

"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to witness and celebrate the union of Lee Donghae and Kim Eunhee in marriage. In the years they have been together, their love and understanding of each other has grown and matured, and now they have decided to live their lives together as husband and wife." Siwon said (yes siwon, we couldn’t get a priest so we asked siwon)

"True marriage is more than joining the bonds of marriage of two persons; it is the union of two hearts. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is love. May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness and a home of warmth and understanding." Siwon continued

“Do you Lee Donghae, take Kim Eunhee to be your wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do you part?” siwon said

“I do” I replied with a big smile

“Do you Kim Eunhee, take Lee Donghae to be your husband, to be your partner in life and sharing your path; equal in love, a mirror for your true self, promising to honor and cherish, through good times and bad, until death do you part?"

“I do” she said with a smile as big as mine

“You may exchange rings” siwon said

“I have for you a golden ring. The most precious metal symbolizes that your love is the most precious element in my life. I place it on your finger as a visible sign of the vows which have made us husband and wife." I said as I put the ring on her finger

“I have for you a ring, the ring has no beginning and no ending, which symbolizes that the love between us will never cease. I place it on your finger as a visible sign of the vows which have made us husband and wife." She said and put the ring on my finger

“By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss” siwon said with a smile

I could see my friends and family teary eyed, and I was up there, smiling like an idiot at Eunhee, she smiled back, and we shared a sweet kiss, well scratch the part where I said proposing was the best day of my life, this is now OFFICIALLY the best day of my life, I’ll probably change that later but what the heck,

What about now? Hmm… Eunhee does concerts around Seoul, and I found myself a job too! I’m a soccer player, and I often couch at my sons school, oh I haven’t told you about my two beautiful children have I? My 4 year old son’s name is Donghae jr. I MEAN JAEJIN!! And my beautiful 2 year old daughter’s name is Sanghee, we have a happy life, and I had my happy ending, huh…this does sound like a fairytale doesn’t it? My fairytale that had a Happy Ending.
