Time Capsule
Description
Key says promises are forever. But then again, forever is a long time.
Foreword
The last thing 15-year-old, mushroom haired Lee Taemin remembers is Key tucking him in after a long day. The next thing he knows, he wakes up as a 19-year-old with long, brown hair, and has an infuriating relationship with the other members of Shinee, four long years after his last memories.
...
The camera is focused on Minho hyung, who’s being strapped in to the thing Kibum hyung has started calling a death trap. While Minho hyung looks excited and is actually looking forward to the fall, Key hyung has the metal railing locked in his death grip, his face paling with every second.
“Hyung, are you okay?” I ask as I approach him, the harness around my torso flapping about as I move. I fumble a little with the extra appendage, but manage not to trip over my own two feet.
“We’re about to free fall. From all the way up here.” Key hyung gulps as he takes a peek at the distance we are from the ground. He glances at Minho hyung, and looks back at me. “I’m absolutely not fine. And Minho looks way too pleased to be here.”
I chuckle slightly at my hyung’s nervousness. We both look to our right as a countdown starts, and ends with Minho launching himself off the platform with a loud “Shinee Hwaiting!”
With that, my heart skips a beat, and I rush to look over the railings to make sure Minho is fine. When I see him grinning and spreading his arms out as though he’s really flying, I sigh with relief and laugh with him.
Seeing as Key hyung isn’t in a terribly good state right now, I step up to jump next.
My heart starts pounding so fast and so hard my chest hurts, and my tummy feels as though it’s doing back flips. This is as bad as our debut stage, maybe even worse. I fist at my chest, turning to the camera. “I’m so nervous I can’t say anything.”
Kibum hyung looks at me like I’m a sacrificial lamb, and I remind myself to demand free banana milk for a week as payment. He seems to know what I'm thinking of, because he mouths a soft "hwaiting" at me and pumps his fist in encouragement.
The question noona asks me is relatively simple, and I answer it right away with the first few words that pop up in my head, even though my brain is a fuzzy mess from all the nervousness.
The next question isn’t simple, but something that I’m absolutely sure about. “Before you jump, think about what you’re going to say.”
It pops into my head straight away, as well.
Shinee forever.
I’ve always hated change, and if I could stop one thing in the world from changing, it would be Shinee. It always has been, since the decision for us to be put together was made.
We were made, and I just want us to last as long as we can. Forever.
I step out at the platform with my toes peeking out from where the floor ends. The hyungs down below look so small from all the way up here.
So as the two hyungs at either side of me count down till my jump, and my heart beats so quickly I think my chest is about to explode, I whisper a quick wish and squeeze my eyes shut.
The countdown reaches zero, and I jump, spreading my hands out as the wind rushes by me.
“Shinee Forever!”
A/N: A shinee story, for once. I don't really know what got me inspired, I think it's watching them grow so much from their debut.
Credits to the owners of the pictures. No Plagiarim guys, its bad.
Not sure about the pairings. Might not have romance, but more of a brotherly feel.
