Foreword
The reception was rushed, to say the least, but still somehow managed to be lavish as ever; it seemed the power of money was infallible. The irony of the whole affair was the importance both parties had placed in the actual ceremony taking place in a church, when it seemed like they worshipped the dollar before all Gods. The black tie theme, the guest list, the white orchids and water lillies, 50 year old champagne, photographer, his suit fitting, was all done last minute. The only thing done ahead of time was the selection of her dress. Hana had waited, yearned, even dreamed about this moment, but it seemed to come faster than she had expected, much to the groom’s chagrin.
