This paragraph is so tangled and confusing and natural, just like a true thought process. This entire story breaks my heart. I have read a few fics inspired by that video, and your take on it feels so real and sad. I feel like Jinki doesn't always see himself as the best leader, he is always so humble and says s don't need leading. However, you see it in every single member's face and actions and words (when he isn't even around) that they look up to him and love him as I haven't seen any other group do to their leader. It is no wonder he got that best leader award. The idols in their same industry (knowing much more than the rest of us) see him and acknowledge the kind of leader he is. I imagine it must have been exhausting throughout the years, but as he has said, it has become better and easier and more enjoyable. I hope it was in some way similar to how your fic ended with him allowing the members to care for him too.
