Bae could do nothing but watch his friend sulk in the bed next to his. The sun peeked through the curtains intending to brighten up what is the gloomy dorm room they occupied. Yet it didn't seem to brighten up JewYong as he kept himself hidden. From who? Maybe him or someone else...

 

“JewYong...get up!” He whined what was the 5^th time. “Enjoy life, live a little” Yeah, it was cliche but he thought he would have given that a chance.

 

The blankets shuffled and a head peeked out. Tossled black hair swung to the side revealing tired, lost eyes that once was filled with sparkle.

 

“But I don't wanna hyung!” with that said JewYong went back inside his fortress of blankets. Bae signed and felt like he was taking care of a 3 year old. 'No, I AM taking care off a 3 year old'

 

He wasn't clueless. Bae might not care about other people's personal problems Nope he actually didn't but JewYong wasn't just some “other people” he was a friend 'best friend'. That's why they were all the way in California and not in V.A. Experiencing what was there collage life together. ' Well it better be experiencing...i didn't come here for nothing'

 

He loved traveling, after living in V.A. All his life he needed out. He wanted the adventure, he needed the excitement, he wanted the rush, and he needed his friend to want it too.

 

So why did JewYong come all this way?

 

Why did he come half across the nation to do nothing but sulk and hide?

 

Because he wanted escape, and what better way to do it then with your best friend?

 

 

'Not just to escape but to experience too' Bae thought.

 

JewYong back home lived a sheltered life. He had friends all right a group off warm loving people. Bae and YewYoung both did. In fact they were all in the same social group. But JewYong needed to leave and once Senior year rolled by it was the perfect way.

 

He needed to leave behind his friends ' But I promise we will call, facebook, whatever, everyday!' They had said before there flight.

 

' You better! Or else Bae I’m gonna send you all my dirty socks I can find!' SukChul had threatened. That was a threat he was going to have to watch out for.

 

“We will, we will!. Bye you guys! See you during the summer!” JewYong had said before we had left. Bae remembered perfectly all the sad faces and the depressing waves they had gotten from their friends. 'best friends'

 

He remembered HyunSu keeping his eye's focused on JewYong and the useful advices “Don't let him sulk and cry, he'll get a headache and get sick. That's not gonna do you any good” HyunSu had warned. 'To late for that' Bae thought.

 

He remembered encouraging words from SukChul.“ The kid is gonna start acting up, just watch. Buy him a stuffed animal of a dog. He loves dogs. Oh and here you, you forgot your stuffed pig”

 

“I left that at home on purpose!”

 

“Yeah, and I brought it with us to the airport. You could call me and thank me once you go to sleep in your first day in California”

 

He remembered the older brother-ly vibe coming off of DaeHyun “You have everything right? Passport? Tickets?.”

 

“Yeah I do”,

 

“Good, stay safe. Call if anything goes wrong or if you two end up getting into a fight or if JewYong runs away or get's kidnapped or if the dorm burns, you know JewYong can't cook”

 

“Psshh what are you gonna do? Come to California?”

 

“.....”

 

“Thanks DaeHyun Hyung....”

 

He remembered JaeKwon's words the most though they were quit and defeating he remembered them clearly..

 

.“JewYong's going because of me right?”

 

“His going to experience life, just like how your going to New York”

 

“Well....take good care of yourself and JewYong he...can't sleep without holding onto something, and is picky when it comes to food and-”

 

“Yeah I know, take good care of yourself man ”

 

Of course all this happened without JewYong's is knowledge. He didn't need to know all the others worried about them. He didn't need to know that JaeKwon knew, JewYong was leaving because of him for some reason or another. Just like JaeKwon not needing to know that JewYong was leaving...because of him. It wasn't JaeKwon's fault that he was completely oblivious. Separating them was the only choice.

 

Bae thought it was a good idea to take JewYong with him. They did get accepted to the same university so why not? If all the others could go some where far then why not them?

 

Him and JewYong just happened to apply to the same university that just happened to be in California and they just happened to get accepted.

 

And it just so happened that Bae had overheard JewYong talking about applying to a certain collage in California. But really it didn't surprise JewYong that they happened to just get into the same collage. Bae loved traveling.

 

It didn't surprise their friends...they knew why he did it... and it wasn't because of traveling

 

It did though, surprise JaeKwon but he didn't question it...maybe because deep down he knew it had something to do with himself.

 

 

So in the end it worked out for everyone. JewYong got to escape certain things...certain feelings, and Bae get's to explore....and watch over JewYong and...be with him. Bae new he might have to be the next JaeKwon and take care of JewYong. He knew that JewYong at the moment was sulking because he missed everyone. He missed JaeKwon. Bae did too...

 

He got up from his bed and climbed towards the bundle of blankets and getting inside the fortress. Getting comfortable he took JewYong's hands and intertwined fingers squeezing them in the process.

 

“Thanks Hyung...” came the faint voice from JewYong. “I promises we will do something later on...whatever you want”

 

“Yeah better keep your word maknae”

 

Bae falling into the world of sleep used his other arm to reach over and grab his stuffed pig bringing it inside the blankets and letting JewYong and himself grab on to it.

 

He would need to buy a stuffed dog later one.

 

He also needed to give SukChul a call.

 

And also needed to e-mail JaeKwon and tell him to get his crap together and not be so damn oblivious with a certain maknae's feelings and tell him not to lie with himself and just confess already!. Yet...he knew that separating them was the only choice

 

Even if Bae wasn't going to be happy and complete his adventures with JewYong like he wanted too...he knew that JewYong wanted to adventure with someone else. And it wasn't with him. Bae thought that at the moment this was kind of like an adventure a knew experience...and he didn't quit mind.
