Your POV

“Mommy! Haejin stole my cupcake!” Haewon ran into the kitchen from the living room and tattled.

“Only because Haewon ruined my lego house!” Haejin came in after and defended.

“It was ugly anyway, I was only ending it's pathetic, useless life.” Haewon replied in a haughty tone. I stared down at Haewon and shook my head. The little girl was too much like me for her own good.

“Haewon-ah.” I warned and set the the chocolate cupcake I was frosting down. “Don't say mean things to your brother.”

“But it's true mommy.” Haewon defended, grabbing onto my legs.

“Haewon-ah, apologize to your brother.” I ordered and placed a hand on her head.

Haewon turned to her twin brother and begrudgingly mumbled. “Sorry Haejin.”

“Good.” I praised and lovingly patted her head. “Now Haejin, apologize to your sister for taking her cupcake.” I pulled him closer and ordered.

“Sorry Haewon.” He grumbled.

“Good, now hug it out you two.” I demanded, making the two face each other for a hug. The twins had a small stare down before walking into each others arms for a tight embrace. I lightly pinched their adorable, red, chubby cheeks when they pulled away. “Go back and play while mommy finishes these cupcakes. And no more fighting alright?” The two obediently nodded their head before racing off into the living room to continue with what they were doing earlier.

Once the two kids left, I released a deep sigh. Even if they were twins, the only thing they had in common were their looks. Haewon's personality was more on the rough and out-spoken side, the hyper one of the two while Haejin was much more soft-spoken and calmer than his sister. When Haewon preferred going outside and running around, Haejin would much rather stay inside and play with his legos or complete puzzles. The two usually fought over rather pointless things on a daily basis but they would always make up with each other quickly, ranging from half an hour to not even a minute.

Today was actually the twins' 3rd birthday and we were having a little celebration with just the four of us until the weekend, where we would be having another celebration but with all our friends and families. To celebrate their birthday, I decided to make some cupcakes for a sweet treat. I had given them one to share earlier but I guess that didn't turn out to well. Setting my last cupcake down on the rack, the sound of keys jumbling then creaking of the door opening was suddenly heard.

“Daddy!” The sound of Haewon and Haejin's screaming joyfully could be heard throughout the whole house. Kris must be home. I glanced at the time from the microwave and saw that it was just five o'clock. He's an hour early today, I hope everything's alright.

“Hey kiddos!” Kris crouched down to greet the kids with big hugs and kisses. “Did you behave well for mommy today?” Kris raised a suspecting eyebrow when the twins answered with an all too eager nod. “Really?” They once again nodded their heads, enlarging their innocent eyes. Kris chuckled and shook his head, “Alright, I believe you two.” Kris rose to his full height when he saw me, stretching his arms wide for a hug.

“You're early today.” I commented and walked forward into his awaiting arms. “Was everything okay at work?”

“Mhm.” He answered and rested his chin on top of my head. “I asked to leave early since it was Haewon and Haejin's birthday.” Kris slightly pulled back and leaned down to press a deep kiss on my lips. He moved one of his hands that was on my waist to the back of my head, deepening the kiss even further.

“EW!!”

The two of us quickly pulled apart at the sound of our kids, complaints. I smoothed Kris' jacket and patted his shoulders, “Go freshen up, I'll set the table and after we finish dinner, we'll have some sweet treats.”

“I rather have another sweet treat.” Kris lowly mumbled before placing his lips over mine again.

“Ew!”

“Get over you two!” Kris went to chase the twin but they quickly ran away from their father, giggling the whole way. Kris easily caught the two children and scooped them into his arms. “Let's go wash our hands together and have a little talk kiddies.”

“Let me ask you guys a serious question.” Kris started, placing the small ladder in front of the sink so they could easily wash their hands.

“What is it daddy?” The two curiously answered in unison.

He smile at how in sync they were, despite them bickering on a daily basis, “How do you two feel about another brother or sister?”

“Yes!” Haewon excitingly cheered. “I want a sister, I don't like hanging out with Haejin all the time.”

“Like I like being with you!” Haejin shot back at his younger, twin sister. “I want a younger brother. Can you give me a younger brother, daddy?” He pleaded and tugged on the ends of his dad's shirt.

“We'll see.” Kris answered and patted his son's head once he finished drying his own hands hands. Kris crouched down to match the height of the twins and helped dried their hands. “But maybe you can ask mommy that for a birthday wish.” Kris gave his children a meaningful look before guiding them out of the bathroom and into the kitchen. “After we have cupcakes okay? Ask mommy for your birthday wishes then.” Kris whispered, making sure only the three of them could hear.

Just as I finished placing the final dish on the table, the trio walked back in, secretive smiles stretching across their faces. I raised an eyebrow at the three but didn't question anything. “Hurry and sit down guys. I don't want the food to get cold.” All three of them took a seat, Haejin sitting by me while Kris and Haewon sat across from us. With the help of Kris and me, we placed a bit of food from each dish onto Haewon and Haejin's plate, watching as they eagerly dug into their meals. Kris quickly followed after, scooping large amounts of food onto his dish. “Guys slow down, you might choke if you keep eating this quickly.” I gently chided.

“No time for slowing down sweetie pie, I want cupcakes.” Kris said through his full mouth, continuing to shovel food into his mouth as he spoke.

“Yeah mommy, we want to eat cupcakes.” Haejin and Haewon told. I shook my head at how alike the three were and continued to eat my meal at a normal, much slower pace. I stared at the three strangely, wondering why they were so eager to eat cupcakes. I didn't think too much of it and just continued with my meal. Ten minutes didn't even go by and three were already finished with their dinner, all staring at me expectantly. I sighed and set my spoon down, “I'll go get the cupcakes.”

Kris watched me walk away, his eyes scanning my figure up and down. *Forget
