Moving In

Rain On Me~

AUtHOR'S NOtE

Hi! This is my very first fanfic so please don't judge and comment rude comments. The story is written in third person. Enjoy and read

carefully. Thanks!

The boat had finally docked by a nearby bridge on Boseong River. Birds chirped for at the great arrival. It was

early autumn and the air was filled with a strong scent of fresh picked green tea leaves. It was time. Time for

Juniel to start a new life and of course take care of her lovely halmoni (grandmother).

"Yah Jun Hee, Do you want us to help you carry your stuff to your grandmother?"

"Nah,it's okay she's expecting me to come by by myself."

"Be Safe-and give this to your grandmother would you?"

The man with a tan colored, raggedy fishing hat and olive green leather overalls, handed Juniel a wrapped cardboard

box wrpped in a dirty plastic bag.

"What is it?" Juniel tilted her head.

"Don't ask or open it. It's for your grandmother only."

"Okay, thanks I have to go." She tossed the bag into her bicycle's basket, fixed her guitar case and carried it behind her back.

"Here your suitcase is over there and let me carry your bicycle."

"Thanks you're awfully too kind," She murmured.

"You sure you are alright by yourself?"

Totally ignoring his question, Juniel struggled to carry her backpack on one shoulder and the guitar on the other. Now,

she was ready to cross the bumpy bridge.

Watching her struggle with her belongings, the man chuckled and said, "That city girl still needs to learn a lot about

manners." He shook his head in misbelief and turned away towards his boat.

Little did Juniel and the man know, a boy under a bridge had spotted her and snickered. *P.S. not a troll* (bottom 4 more info)

                                                                                     ♪~♪~♪

Rolling a suitcase in one hand and dragging her bike with the other was making Juniel exhausted. "Oh gosh, only a few feet to go!"

During the long walk, Juniel would occasionally pause and take a nice whiff of the scent of green tea leaves. It has been

said that green tea calms down nerves.. When she arrived, Her grandma opened the front door just in time."Boh? Choi Jun Hee! Why you

came early!" Her grandmother was pointing at her with her trembling fragile finger. Without any response Juniel rushed towards her

halmoni and literally squeezed her guts out. "Jun Hee! I've never seen you since you were 5, her halmoni said breathlessly. Like how old

are you right now, 10?"

                                                                                       ♪~♪~♪

When Juniel had finally moved into her room and unpacked all her belongings, she sighed and threw herself back onto

her new bed. staring at the wall, she thought about her father. The day he yelled at her for not paying attention in

school and have unexpected low grades. How he said that it was all because of her stupid guitar and threw it on the

ground letting the strings rip and the wood break. Juniel cringed at the thought. She had worked so hard to pay for that guitar. Now

it's a worthless piece of junk. She then thought about her close friends who would always visit her every weekends after the tragic

divorce. She miss her mother but that was all in the past now. She should forget about it. She turned to her side, sighed and finally

shutted her eyes, trying to let the pain melt away from her.

                                                                                          ♪~♪~♪

After a few minutes, Juniel abruptly got up and trotted towards her guitar case. It was lying on the dusty tan carpet. Fragilely opening

it, she saw the broken wooden pieces and strings that were still left the same as before. "Why did my dad sent me here? Why do I

have to go to this dam place?" She thought. Slamming the case angrily, she stood up and went to the bathroom and stripped. She then

took a long hot shower. Again, to melt away the pain.

"Jun Hee- how was your trip, how is your dad, your mom; you want some more cookies and tea?"

Halmoni kept rambling to her with nonsense and unnecessary questions.

"She seems fine. Not so shabby or sick. Why did my dad sent me here?" She mumbled.

"Jun Hee!" Halmoni startled Juniel. "You are very lucky; Theres a girl around your age who lives across the

street! She visits her mother and father every two years and this year she is visiting her mother since her

parents are divorced.

"Oh." Juniel had understand. She too, herself, had parents that were divorced. That thought made her think about

her guitar. She forced herself to shake the thought off. "So, um halmoni."

"Yes darling?"

"Is she at her house now?"

"Why.. I'm not sure myself. Why did you ask?"

"Oh nothing, I'm a very curious child you know haha."

Juniel faked a smile...

                                                                                          ♪~♪~♪

After a few moments of silence,"Hey um this Ahjussi who sent me here told me to give you this." Juniel handed her

halmoni the same wrapped cardboard box in a plastic bag that was given to her.

With trembling hands, halmoni was struggled to open the box.

"Uhh, let me help!" Juniel jumped in. Ripping the cardboard box and all, the item had finally revealed itself.

Before even Juniel could see what it was, Halmoni grabbed it into her hands and saw that it was some sort of clothing.

"It's a hat he promised to give me a year ago!"

Juniel made a disgusted face and snickered "Why did Ahjussi give a similar fishing hat to my halmoni that was on his

head?" She thought.

Juniel was now in her grandmother's backyard. Agian, a sweet scent of fresh picked green tea leaves had filled

the air. Juniel loved it. She also realized that she moved into a country that grows green tea leaves. Very lucky actually.

Lying back against the brick wall, she reached into her soft pink hoodie and took out an ipod touch. Shoving the

earphones into her ears, she turned up the volume and played her favorite song, " 커피를 마시고 (Café Latte)" by Urban

Zakapa. Singing along softly , Juniel smiled and closed her eyes.

All her pain was gone.

Without realizing, she was fast asleep agian the brick wall...

                                                                                                                                                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
