Once Upon a Song

(Also known as Cinderella Jiyeon) is a Romantic Comedy based on the character created by Yeon-hee And Shin-Yeon.And the stars are Park jiyeon, Kim Myungsoo, Kang Sora and Im Yoona.

Plot

Over-worked, harried and terrified of being put in foster care, seventeen-year-old Yeonnie (Park jiyeon) does her Stepmother and stepsiblings' bidding with no complaints. She's constantly harassed by Sora, her stepmother. The Story starts in a dream where she records a music video for her hit single "Haru haru." then Junho wakes her up and she makes breakfast. In the scene, it's revealed how badly she's treated by Sora (Kang Sora), and her stepsister Yun-ah, also known as yoona.(Im Yoona). At school, Sunggyu, the owner at the Massive Records Company President enrolls his son into the school where Sora is headmistress. Yeonnie sneaks her own-made tape into Sunggyu's briefcase. Sunggyu wants his son, Myungie (Kim Myungsoo), to produce the showcase and start following in his footsteps which Myungie is less than excited about.

Back at home, Yoona, Yeonnie's stepsister, starts to practice singing so she can win a recording contract with Sunggyu, but realizing she is terrible. Sora gets a call from Sunggyu and is shocked to hear that he loves Jiyeon's Demo CD. Sora lies and says it was Yoona's demo CD and Jiyeon stole it. Meanwhile, Ho-Jun, Jiyeon's stepbrother, steals her clothes while she showers and takes her towel, locking her outside of the house . Jiyeon then tries all the ways she know to go back in, but fails. She ends up wearing the welcome mat while waiting outside, meeting Myungsoo for the second time, who gives her his jacket. Yoona opens the door and invites Myungsoo in, while Sora goes to Jiyeon's room and forces her to sing. Sora drives Myungsoo out of the house and starts planning to use Jiyeon's voice to get Yoona a record deal. Yoona, at first reluctant, gives in to Sora's urging and agrees in order to win Myungsoo's affection.

At school, Jiyeon and her best friend IU hear Myungsoo singing his song and Jiyeon is entranced. Jiyeon writes a song in response to his song and admits she kind of likes him. IU tells her to sing it to him at the Bollywood Ball that night and gives Jiyeon a costume to wear. They hear Sora shouting outside and IU hides just as Sora opens the door. Seeing the costume Jiyeon has, Sora makes her stay home and babysit Ho-Jun for the night. After Ho-Jun reveals to Jiyeon by hidden cameras, that Yoona wants Myungsoo and is going to try to win him over at the ball, she asks Joon, Sora's guru to watch him. Joon reveals he's not actually a guru but a method actor from Canada, named Ravi, who couldn't refuse Sora's money and is only actually half Canadian. At the party, Jiyeon leads Myungsoo outside and sings, which makes Myungsoo fall for her. Meanwhile IU distracts Sora by challenging her to a dance off. After the dance battle, Sora feels sick and leaves. Jiyeon escapes and hurries home, only to find Sora already waiting for her. Sora threatens to expel IU so she won't get into Kirin if Jiyeon does not sing for Yoona, Jiyeon agrees to save IU.

Myungsoo tries to find "The Girl with a Beautiful Voice," but instead walks in on Yoona lip syncing using Jiyeon's voice in the music room and mistakes her for the girl. Myungsoo falls for Yoona and invites her to write a song with him. At the house, Myungsoo is greeted by Ho-Jun and gives him a little guitar lesson after playing off-key, much to Ho-Jun's surprise just wanting to see Yoona. Jiyeon reconnects with Myungsoo and heads out to throw away Sora's ruined painted portrait after Ho-Jun cut off the face with a special knife. Myungsoo tells Jiyeon he doesn't like her disappearing. Yoona sweeps him away and diverts his attention from Jiyeon to her instead. She somehow gets Ho-Jun to help her trick Myungsoo. Her brother gives her and Jiyeon devices that allow Yoona to hear Jiyeon, so that she can help her during the date. Jiyeon creates a song on the spot and while Myungsoo sings her song to Yoona, she falls harder for him. Yoona and Myungsoo kiss, breaking Jiyeon's heart. Ho-Jun tries to cheer Jiyeon up, seeing her distress. Myungsoo believes he is in love with Yoona because of her voice and talent for song writing, which actually belong to Jiyeon.

At the showcase, Ho-Jun sabotages Yoona in the middle of the song with Joon's help, much to Jiyeon's shock, forcing Sora to make Jiyeon sing live backstage. Myungsoo sees Jiyeon being dragged by Sora and questions her, eventually realizing it was Jiyeon all along helping Yoona write a song with him and on their date. Myungsoo steals the camera and films Jiyeon, having Yoona exposed. Sora tries to shut the camera but is stopped by Joon, who shocks her with the cables. Jiyeon finishes her hit song "Haru Haru" with Ho-Jun's assistance. Sunggyu tells Myungsoo he wants him making Jiyeons's album with her. Sora escapes and tries to make Sunggyu see reason, but fails. He says they'll see what the schoolboard thinks when he "gives them a ring". Jiyeon and Myungsoo then kiss. Yoona tells Sora to "Give it up." Sora is then seen singing Jiyeon's song "Haru haru" at a ranch just to be laughed at by the people, a reference to a scene earlier in the movie of a similar situation. At the end of the film, the cast are all seen dancing to Jiyeon's hit song "Haru Haru," Joon chases Myungsoo around for stealing his clothes for a funny gag.
