Lover Boy
Hyunsik and Ilhoon were really close from the start. At first it was just like brothers, never anything more than that. But since their dance routine for "WOW" and "Lover Boy" they were growing even closer. Ilhoon who hated with skinship didn’t seem to mind it from Hyunsik. They would hug, hold hands, poke and tease and even occasionally caress each other. They were even now showing fan service with each other. Somehow though, it seemed more natural than just simple fan service. But now due to their growing relationship both of them seemed to be having a problem, a heart problem.
Hyunsik began to realize that came to care for Ilhoon more than like a brother, but he denied it. Through is denial though there was one person aware of his feeling for the young rapper, Changsub his good friend. He knew Hyunsik more than any of the other members’ because they were together since their trainee days. Seeing him conflicted by his own feelings mad Changsub want to help his friend.
"Hey..." Changsub greeted Hyunsik, who had been to lost in his thoughts to notice Changsub’s presence.
"Hey ..." Hyunsik replied almost lifelessly as his friend sat next to him.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Hyunsik asked, dragging his hand down his face in frustration.
"Are you still thinking about Ilhoon?" Changsub ask bluntly. Hyunsik looked at the male in surprise for a moment before his gaze fell to the floor.
"Why do you still deny it, Sik-ah? Just admit you like him already." Changsub said.
"I ... I..." Hyunsik had a hard time finding the right words. It’s not that he did not want to admit his feelings, but he was afraid. Afraid that Ilhoon would reject him, or even worse, try and avoid him after he confessed.
"You what?" Changsub ask again. This time he grasped both of Hyunsik’s hands. Hyunsik looked conflicted and Changsub knew why, but he was worried about his friend. He knew if Hyunsik continued to hold in his feelings, he wouldn’t last much longer.
Changsub opened his mouth to speak again when someone had entered into the studio room, "Hyung…,” a soft voice spoke and both Changsub and Hyunsik look towards the voice’s owner.
"Ilhoon..." Hyunsik said breathily as he stared at the male in front of them.
"Sorry Hyung. I thought Minhyuk hyung was here…I guess he’s not…so bye, sorry again." Ilhoon said and hurried out the room. There was a small vibration in his voice and Changsub saw how it affected Hyunsik. He tried to calm his friend who seemed to be crumbling after Ilhoon left.
"Why did Hyunsik hyung look sad? Are Changsub hyung and him fighting?" Ilhoon wonder. His heart hurt slightly after seeing Hyunsik with Changsub. Truth be told he was looking for Hyunsik, but after seeing Changsub beside him he decided to just lie. "Yah adeul~ Want to go to a café with umma and appa?" called Minhyuk. Ilhoon turned his direction and realized he was with Eunkwang. The boy smiled and ran to them, glancing back at the room one last time before leaving.
While the three of them were at the cafe, Minhyuk could sense there was something bothering Ilhoon. When they decided to head back to the dorm Minhyuk stayed close to Ilhoon, leaving Eunkwang at the back.
"Adeul ah~~" Minhyuk called cutely. Ilhoon smiled at him.
"Is there something you want to tell me?" Minhyuk asked, causing the other male to stop immediately.
"I know there is something bothering you… can’t you tell me?" Minhyuk said softly.
"No…no, it’s nothing." Ilhoon lied weakly.
"Are you sure?" Minhyuk questioned again. He knew the boy was lying. He knew something was wrong and just wanted to help, but Ilhoon just nodded, and gave a fake smile.
"I’m sure. If something’s wrong I’d tell you, but everything’s fine, okay?" Ilhoon said and began to walk again. Minhyuk just gave a sigh and figured it best to just leave it be for now.

After that day, Hyunsik and Ilhoon seemed to have a wall between them. It's not like they were growing apart but from early in the morning Hyunsik would spend time with Changsub while Ilhoon with Peniel and Sungjae. Sometime they would steal secret glances of each other but when their eyes met, they immediately looked away. Seeing Hyunsik laughing happily in the corner with Changsub made Ilhoon’s heart ache. If only they could laugh like that together again. If only they could spend time together again. If only they could be together. But Hyunsik was already taken, Hyunsik already belonged to Changsub who always seemed to put a smile on Hyunsik lips.
"Do you like Hyunsik?" Someone asked from behind, causing Ilhoon to freeze where he stood. He slowly turned to see who the voice belonged to, it was Minhyuk.
"H-hyung" Ilhoon stuttered, but Minhyuk just smiled. Ilhoon didn’t know what to say so he remain silent.
"I think you should just be honest.” Minhyuk spoke. After a few minutes of silence Ilhoon stood and gestured Minhyuk to fallow. Minhyuk did just that and closely followed his son. The pair didn’t know that they had a pair of eyes watching them, those eyes belonging to Hyunsik.
"So, can you tell me the truth now?" Minhyuk asked when they were somewhere private. Ilhoon hesitated, but Minhyuk give him some time.
"I do…like… Hyunsik hyung" he admit with a close eyed, scared of Minhyuk reaction.
"I knew it!!" Minhyuk half shout. Yes he already knew it. It really wasn’t hard to tell by how the two acted with each other. They were acting fishy, so everyone could smell something was up.
"So?" He pressed on.
"But… I don't think Hyunsik likes me like I like him." There was disappointment in Ilhoon’s tone from which Minhyuk just shook his head.
"Says who?" Minhyuk asked, eye-brow raised. Ilhoon looked at Minhyuk before giving a deep sigh.
"Nobody. But… I know he’s with Changsub hyung. They look happy and lovely together." Ilhoon looked down at the floor, the scene of Hyunsik laughing and hugging replaying over in his head.
"They’re best friends, you know that Ilhoon. They have been together for almost four years along with Eunkwang. The three of them spent a lot of time together ever since their trainee days." Minhyuk reassured him. But Ilhoon couldn’t believe that they were just best friends. After all, 'Who wouldn’t fall for Hyunsik's manly yet sweet personality? And who wouldn’t fall for Changsub cuteness and charms?'
"No hyung. I'm pretty sure they love each other, they act like they are more than friends." Ilhoon’s voice cracked. Minhyuk tried to persuade him, but it was useless. He took pity over the boy in front of him him. The only thing he could do now is hug him tightly and let the boy cry in his arms.
Hyunsik began to feel uneasy. He really wanted to know what happened to Ilhoon after the male came from the studio room with red eyes. He wondered what made Ilhoon so sad. His heart ached to help him. He wished to be beside Ilhoon, sooth him in his arm, but he couldn’t. He also wished he had the strength to tell Ilhoon how he felt. The strength to just shout ‘I LOVE YOU, JUNG ILHOON’ but he was too scared. And now they were growing apart, slowly without anyone realizing it. There were no more playful scenes between them. No more suggestive hands on each other’s bodies. No more laughs or smiles. The only thing was eyes changing, which was only hurting them.

As usual, BTOB records their daily life on their video diary that has been provided by MTV. Everyone but Changsub and Eunkwang were recording their trip to the boutique today, trying their new outfits for the next recording. The other two were busy with the recording itself. Hyunsik was holding the camera, recording all the members and himself. A few hours in he felt himself getting thirsty and decide to buy something to drink. Minhyuk offered to accompany him, leaving the magnae line behind. Both were chatting along the way and even managed to record a parody of Big Bang's Lies.
"Ah, low battery! The camera could die at any time!" Hyunsik said checking the camera.
"Ah??? See you again Melodies~ we love you!!!" Minhyuk said sadly.
"Goodnight Melodies~ Annyeong" and with that both of them giving a kiss to the camera before Hyunsik turned it off.
"Ah, we could record later hyung." Hyunsik sighed and Minhyuk nodded in agreement.
"Hyunsik-ah" Minhyuk called when Hyunsik began walking faster than him.
"Ne hyung?" he stopped, waiting for the other.
"I've something to ask. Can you give me your time?" the hyung ask his younger. Hyunsik nodded, slightly curious as to what Minhyuk wanted to know.
They had been talking for about an hour so when they arrived back at the boutique Eunkwang and Changsub had returned.
"Where were you guys!?" Changsub asked them.
"How could you guys leaving our sons here? Both of you are their Umma one and Appa two. Since Appa one and Umma two are not here, you guys have to take care of them!" Eunkwang said, talking about their ‘family roles’.
"Yeobo, I was buying the boys some drinks. Their manager Samchun was with them." Minhyuk explain and handed the drinks out one by one.

Today the boys didn’t have a schedule so they were lying lazily in front of television, watching horror movies in daylight. Even though it was the daytime Eunkwang was still scared. He hid behind the tall magnae who was also scared. Minhyuk and Peniel were laughing at them and teasing the two. In the end, Sungjae took a blanket and covered himself and Eunkwang. During all this Ilhoon just sat quietly, observing the others.
"Where is Hyunsik and Changsub hyung?" he asked, after realizing the two weren’t in the room.
"Hyunsik may be still in bed, he’s the heaviest sleeper out of all of us you know. Changsub went out to buy coffee." Minhyuk replied. With that Ilhoon got up and went to their shared room. He looked everywhere but there was no Hyunsik.
"Looking for me?" Hyunsik’s voice suddenly appeared. Ilhoon froze.
"N…No. Nope, I was just looking for my iPad. Do you see it, hyung?" Ilhoon said as he pretended to search for his Ipod. He looked around everywhere, well, except at Hyunsik. When he heard the door click symbolizing it was closed he assumed that Hyunsik had left. But when he turned around he was shocked to see Hyunsik still there, leaning against the door. Even worse Hyunsik was wearing nothing but a towel and tank top with his hair still wet and dripping.
"Are you going to continue to avoid me, Jung Ilhoon?" Hyunsik asked while watching the boy who slowly turned away from him.
"How long are you going to avoid me? One week? One month? forever?" Hyunsik asked, taking a deep breath. He had been thinking ever since he and Minhyuk had talked. There talk was of course about Ilhoon. When Minhyuk told him that the other actually had feelings for him, Hyunsik cried tears of joy.
"I…I'm not avoiding you, h-hyung. I... I just…" Ilhoon stuttered. Hyunsik began getting closed to him. He could feel the elder’s breath beside his left ear.
"Why you are avoiding me?" Hyunsik asked again. But Ilhoon just couldn’t reply. He couldn’t form any words.
Hyunsik held his right arm, turning Ilhoon to face him. Ilhoon’s eyes just stayed lowered, avoiding any eye contact.
"Listen here, Jung Ilhoon. I'll keep it short, so you need to listen well." he said with a deep voice. Ilhoon slowly nodded. Hyunsik then leaned closer, his arms embracing Ilhoon’s stiff body. He just stood there for a moment, taking long deep breaths.
"Don't you ever think you can run from me. Don't ever dream of avoiding me again. Because I will never ever let you go or leave you. You are mine." he spoke every sentence clearly to Ilhoon. Ilhoon stood motionless, listening to every word Hyunsik said. He couldn’t believe what he had just heard.
"Do you hear me Jung Ilhoon?" Hyunsik asked, releasing the younger from his arms. Ilhoon said nothing; he just stood like a statue.
"Are you still not going to reply? Are you seriously going to keep silent?" Hyunsik asked, frustrated with Ilhoon. He decided to just leave the room. But before he could open the door, he felt a tug at his top. Turning slightly Ilhoon slowly release his top.
"You asked me to listen…so I listened." Ilhoon finally spoke. Hyunsik smiled.
"So what did I say?" Hyunsik asked. His smile grew wider when he saw Ilhoon cheeks become a bright red.
"That... that..." Ilhoon hesitate.
"That what?" he insisted.
"That you… love me?" Ilhoon choked out. Hyunsik was in slight shock. But then he smiled again.
"Huh? Are you sure? I don't think so." Hyunsik said, wanting to now. Ilhoon’s cheeks grew even redder.
"Forget it!" Ilhoon manage to say and tried to leave the room. But before he could, Hyunsik had once again pulled him into his arm.
"Don't be mad Ilhoon-ah. I'm sorry” Hyunsik said with a very soft tone. Ilhoon relaxed slightly and leaned his head into Hyunsik's chest.
"I LOVE YOU, JUNG ILHOON. I REALLY LOVE YOU FROM MY BOTTOM HEART." each word made Ilhoon’s hear race a little faster. He could hear Hyunsik's heat doing the same thing.
"I love you too Lim Hyunsik" Ilhoon finally manage to confess. His eye get teary and Hyunsik plant a kiss on his forehead. Wanting to savor the moment they stayed in the room and cuddled for a while.
That day had become much better than usual. The boys were heading to M! Countdown. Hyunsik, Changsub and Eunkwang were walking behind Minhyuk, Peniel, Sungjae and Ilhoon. Everyone was laughing.
"Hyunsik-ah! I want ice coffee. Can you get it for me? Eung? Eungggg~~~," Changsub cutely asking Hyunsik, tugging at the males sleeve. Eunkwang and Hyunsik laughed over Changsub’s ageyo but stopped when Ilhoon turned to face them. The young males intense stare scared the three of them.
"Hyunsik-ah" Ilhoon said, giving a super fake cheesy smile.
"N-Ne?" Hyunsik stuttered. Ilhoon come closer and stood between Hyunsik and Changsub.
"Kkaja~" Ilhoon smiled, pulling Hyunsik away and leaving the two dumbfounded.
Even better then that though was during their performance of 'Lover Boy.” The newly formed couple got to dance together, and of course they over did it. Making the members fell embarrassment with their performance.
"Our first kiss under the street light was so sweet~~"
