Shin Min-Ah lived in England with her family, until her mother got remarried to her step-father who lived in South Korea. When her mother told her that they were moving back to South Korea (She hasn't been back since her mother flew from her abusive grandmother after father died.), she asked her why her mother why did they have to move back to South Korea "because he's only here on business, he has to go back now"

"But why do we have to go with the stupid man?!!"

"Min-Ah!! you know Omma loves him and don't you want Omma to be happy? but your opinion doesn't matter because we're going to South Korea and that's final!"

Her mother turned to walk away but stopped suddenly and looked back at her "Another thing don't you badmouth him, he will soon be you Appa!"

Min-Ah wanted her mother to be happy, she was without her beloved for more than 16 years, and now that she had a chance to love again Min-Ah didn't want her to let him go. They had six months left until they had to go, and in those six months Min-Ah started familiarizing herself to her birth culture.

Ms Shin was really happy her daughter was getting to know her culture that she enrolled her to take several courses in Korean Society College since she knew her daughter would enjoy the pottery classes, photography classes, etc.

And that was when Min-Ah fell for a boy for the first time in her life.

and that was what made her trip to South Korea more dangerous.
