Class Differences

"Here's you're dinner, master," the tall pleasant servant announced, setting a meal fit for a king on the glass table. She gave a small smile, bowed, and prepared to walk away. Once she turned her back on him, she was stopped by the sudden sharpness in the male's voice.

"I didn't dismiss you yet," the male informed," And would it kill you to listen to me? I told you to call me Donghae oppa. I get tired of being called 'master' all the time," he said casually, playing with his food. He was in a bad mood, but tried his best to not show it in front of her.

"Oh. Uh. Yes mas-I MEAN-Donghae oppa," she stuttered, giving a shy smile. He couldn't help but find her cute. Her dark brown hair loosly laid down, her petite body fitting well with her black dress and frilly white apron, and her chocolate liquid eyes that lit up and always looked directly at the person when spoken to.

"Yoong!" someone called at the door, flashing a toothy grin. He wore a white button up shirt, a black vest, a black tie, and pants. His hair was ivory black and swept to the side. "Come on! You're meal is getting cold. I saved you the best part. Don't make me eat it all by myself."

"Kyuhyun oppa!" she spoke cheerfully, running to the boy. They gave each other a simple hug, almost not noticing the peeved young master grit his teeth. He was jealous. Jealous to see how they could just hug each other like it was nothing.

"Ahem," clearing his throat, glaring at the butler," I didn't dismiss you yet." He couldn't help but say those words with such gruffness. She opened to apologize, but was interrupted by her companion.

"Sorry, young master," he apologized, bowing," I was careless to interrupt you and Yoona ah. Please excuse her. She needs to eat." Donghae glared at him who looked at him back. He wasn't giving that cold icy glare like his master, but Kyuhyun held his stare.

"Just go then. Eat quickly."

"That won't be so hard," Kyuhyun muttered under his breath. The choding nodded, but then turned back to the apologetic deer, breaking into a smile.

"Let's go before Siwon and Sooyoung eat our food." The both laughed happily as they went down to the servant's quarters. The noble gave a heavy sigh and laid back on his chair. Sure enough, he was fuming.

He was jealous, mostly because of Kyu. He was jealous of his personality, his freedom to roam where ever he wants, for having so many friends that actually have the same interests as him. Most of all, he was jealous of how much time he got to spend with the maid. He always saw them together, from ever since they were little, talking and laughing happily together, side by side. Sometimes he would spy them giving each other a kiss on the forehead or the cheek. These gestures stabbed him in the back from the very beginning. He would glare at other servants gossiping about both of them dating. Well...he think's it's just gossip. He tried to get Yoona to be more comfortable and talk more informally with him, but she was always so awkward around him no matter how laid back and cheerful he was. Is it because I'm of a higher authority? He thought to himself. Is it because I look too intimidating for her? With thoughts about her in his head, he drifted off to sleep.

-------------------------------

"Whoa! Look at all of the leftovers Yoong!" Kyuhyun exclaimed, chopsticks ready in his hands, digging into the food. The girl laughed and joined him and other servants to eating. It was a lot, as Kyu said, for them. It was a plate of leftover take out food in the fridge. It was a lot for them. Most of the time they would just have a small bowl of rice... a day. Well, they were servants. They weren't exactly rich or anything.

"MMM Daebak!" Siwon complimented with his mouth full. Sooyoung looked at him disgusted and lightly but playfully pushed him on the shoulder, complaining about how rude and impolite he was while Teacyeon, Sunny, Sungmin, and Leetuek were chatting and picking at their food. There was Junho who finished eating already and was cleaning the master's bedroom. Lastly, there was Taeyeon who was seated far away from the rest of the group, reading a book and picking off some food on her plate. Kyu and Yoong chatted while the others, now gossiping, were talking about them.

"Oh my god. Are you sure that those two aren't dating? They are always together and everything. It wouldn't make any sense if they were just friends. Well...they could always be friends with benefits," Sungmin said, pointing at the pair that were chatting happily, oblivious to the nosy servants.

"Positive. Besides, if they were dating, they would've admitted it by now. Although I don't think that they're dating, I do believe that GameKyu has a one-sided crush for her. Just look at the way he looks at Yoona. It's like he want to serve her the rest of his life," Sunny answered back with a pang of jealousy, glancing at the butler. Sure enough, he was helping her wipe food off with a napkin.

"Well they could be keeping it a secret. Leeteuk, what do you think?" Teacyeon asked the dozed off butler. He didn't reply, earning a splash of ice cold water to come in contact with his face.

"Wait what? Aish. Seriously? Water? *sigh* What did you want?" Leetuek asked, glaring at the group of giggling misfits.

"Well, do you think that Kyuhyun and Yoona are dating?" Teac repeated the question, chuckling as he did so. The wet butler just shook his head and continued staring. The group followed his stare and giggled at their observation.

"Wow. Looks like we have another couple to congratulate," Sungmin said, grinning a evil smile as he looked at who the fish was staring at.

"Haha! You have a crush on Taeyeon? Whoa. Well you'll never have the chance considering how ugly you look," Sunny exclaimed, receiving a glare from Teuk.

"What the hell do you mean by UGLY?" he shouted, standing up. The four started to get loud; the three teasing and the one poor helpless elder, running around to catch them. The "couple" looked at the scene and laughed while Chansung joined in teasing. Taeyeon, still oblivious to the situation, continued to read calmly. After ten minutes of laughter, they heard loud footsteps. They stopped and waited for the person to come down. It was Junho, who looked panicked.

"Everyone tidy up! It's Mr. and Mrs. Lee. They came here for some important news. Best behavior everyone! Let's go!" Junho, straightened his tie, and went up the stairs. The maids all changed quickly into clean black dresses and white aprons with their hair styled a bit different. The butlers all changed into clean black pants, white collar shirts, black tie and vest.

Kyuhyun and Yoona got up the stairs last and became face to face with the old couple.

"Oh. Welcome home, master and mistress," the both said in unison, bowing at the same time. The couple smiled and chuckled softly.

"You two seem much more closer since last time I came. Please take us to our son. We need to discuss something with him," Mr. Lee ordered kindly. The two bowed and showed them to the door of Donghae's work office. They both bowed and left, leaving the couple to open, enter and close the door. Once the pair came downstairs, they were dismissed to work together in the garden. While the deer was at the garden, she couldn't help but wonder...

What were they going to discuss about?

------------------------------------------

"Aish. Dozing off in front of his parents," Mr. Lee muttered. The mother shook Donghae rapidly, trying to get him to wake, but it was no use. It just didn't work. Frustrated, his dad splashed hot warm water on his face, causing him to shoot up and yelp. Wiping the water off his face, he looked up, at first furious, but thenhis expression fell as he realized who was right in front of him. He stood straight up and tried to keep himself from looking more lazy then his parents already thought he was.

"Uh...Mom. Dad. You're here...Why?"

"Aish. That's how you greet your mom and dad? Even the servants were more well-mannered than you." At that sentence, Donghae remembered Yoona who was with Kyuhyun. He grit his teeth at the image, but kept a smile for his parents.

"Well alright. Sorry. Next time, you should tell me earlier when you're coming." Donghae gestured them to sit on the couches in front of his work table. He was about to buzz in a maid for tea, but his dad stopped him and shook his head. Mrs. Lee also shook her head.

"We're only here to discuss something quickly. Then, we must be off," his father said, gesturing Donghae to put his hand on the buzzer away. Donghae retreated and crossed his arms, staring back at his dad.

"Okay. What is the important news you came here to tell me?" Donghae asked.

"You're getting married," his mother announced, watching her son's eyes pop open and jaw drop.

"WHAT?!"

Meanwhile....

"WHAT?!"

"Whoa. It must be something really surprising," Kyuhyun said, looking towards the mansion," because if it wasn't than there wouldn't be a need to scream like that. What do you think the important announcement is Yoona?"

"I don't know. Hopefully he's alright though," Yoona answered, taking her eyes off the lilies and eyeing the mansion. She was a worry wort, no doubt about it, but she was extremely worried for Donghae.

"Well, we'll figure out soon enough. Let's tend the orchids now alright Yoona?" the butler assured, handing his hand out to Yoona.

"Yeah! Let's go!"

Back to where we were before....

"Wait a minute. I'm getting MARRIED to someone that I don't even know? That's ridiculous. I don't want to get married to a stranger," Donghae protested, standing up from his seat. His parents remained sitting, looking as ticked off as he was.

"She's your childhood friend Donghae. Don't you remember EunJi? You're marrying her. I know you haven't seen her since forever, but she is the perfect bride for you-"

"I'm getting married to her? That's even worse. She wasn't even my friend, mom. She was that stalker who kept on hurting my servants when we were little. I just don't want to get married right now, especially to her." Donghae was about to walk out, but his father stopped him.

"You are to marry her whether or not you want to. It is your job as the next in line for the Lee Company, to marry a successful young woman. She fits all standards and she's in love with you. I arranged the wedding date and invitations already so there's no backing out. Do you understand?"

"Yes, father," Donghae said hesitantly, facing them. He didn't like the arrangement at all, because he already had someone in mind, but she didn't fit in the criteria his parents wanted. Well, It's my parent's choice, not mine.

"Now, would you mind escorting us down?" his mother asked, smiling a smile that said," Everything will be alright. You will soon like this arrangement we made. We know what's best for you."

"Alright." With that he went downstairs with them, greeted by butlers and maids. The parents stopped when all of the servants that greeted them were present.

"Everyone. In a few weeks, our son is getting married. We would like for the servants to prepare the meals and rooms in about two weeks. Everyone must be prepared for the wedding. That includes the gardens being trimmed and groomed as well. All clear?" the father announced, leaving Donghae to sink in his suit. The servants, although shocked from the sudden wedding plan, replied, "Yes Mistress and Master," and bowed. Donghae scanned the room for his yound maiden, but she was not there. Was she present during the announcement? He realized that Kyuhyun wasn't in the room as well and curled his hand into a fist. He was a bit jealous and angry, but kept it to himself as he escorted his parents out to the front of the house, near the gardens.

"Aww. Well aren't the two just adorable. I remember them being together all the time ever since they were little. Why, when they grow up a bit more, I'll support them both and help to plan their marriage. They seem like such a happy couple," Mrs. Yang cooed, eyeing the pair of servants that were taking care of roses.

"Well Yoona and Kyuhyun deserve it so much for being loyal and polite to us. I think that they are a fine pairing. The cutest," Mr. Yang agreed. Donghae looked over to the pair and sure enough, they were close-too close for Donghae to look at. He turned his head, wanting to get the image of the two out of his head, but a squeal was heard and he turned to his mother and father who were observing the couple.

"Kyuhyun and Yoona are adorable. To do something as romantic as that." The word romantic in a sentence with those two names saddened Donghae, as he turned his head around, his heart broke.

There, in plain sight, Yoona with a beautiful red rose in her hair and Kyuhyun with his hand touching her cheek, were kissing near the roses. The wind blew softly on them, making it look like a scene in the movie. Donghae stared at the two, wanting so much to be in Kyuhyun's position. His heart felt like a million pieces broke over and over again as he watched painfully from a distance. His parents giggled at the scene as they went to their car.

"Bye Donghae. Remember that the wedding is in a few weeks so don't forget." He didn't hear, but, then again, he didn't care about it. All he saw was Yoona and Kyuhyun, near the red roses, locking lips with each other. Why couldn't it be him? He went back inside, to his room, where he tosses himself on the bed to cry his heart out.

-----------------------------

"So yeah. That's what I've been hearing from the new flower lady," Kyuhyun whispered moving away from Yoona's ear.

"Really? So the petunias aren't coming here until next spring? But I asked for them al long time ago!" the maid cried, smiling as he did so. The whole time working, they were telling each other secrets that they heard other servants say or the fellow bakers and such down at the local market. They whispered a lot when working in the garden because they both believed that if they talk too loud, it would frighten the flowers. It was a little secret joke for the two of them.

"Hey, I think we're done here. Ready to go back?" Kyuhyun asked, pulling Yoona up. She laughed softly nodded, linking hands as they headed back to the mansion. Once they got inside, they were surprised to be ambushed by a bunch of servants.

"Kyuhyun and Yoona sitting in the garden. K-i-s-s-i-n-g." Chansung, Junho, Sunny, Sungmin , and Leetuek chanted. The couple laughed as they were being teased.

"That doesn't even rhyme. Besides, I only kiss my friend in the cheek or forehead. We treat each other like best friends," Kyuhyun explained, smiling widely at the playful 'bullies'.

"We saw you guys kissing in the garden!" Sunny exclaimed.

"All we did was work and whisper to each other. Seesh," Yoona explained, linking arms with Kyuhyun. The chanters stopped teasing and looked at each other. Then, a sweat drop appeared on their heads.

"Hehe...Sorry," the five said, looking embarrassed. Yoona and Kyuhyun laughed, patting them on the back and then heading to the servant's quarter's. They were about to go down, but Yoona soon stopped them.

"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Since you weren't with us during the Mister and Mistress' announcement, I should tell you. The young master is getting married." At that sentence, the two's jaw dropped and their eyes burst open.

"He's getting what?!"

-----------------------------

A couple of weeks passed. Tired, but convinced that Yoona and Kyuhyun are unaware of the wedding since he was informed that they didn't participate in anything, he called Yoona from the buzzer to get some coffee. Once she came up, she smiled and bowed. Once she set the coffee down, she stayed standing in front of him.

"Um, Donghae shhi," Yoona started while the master was drinking the freshly brewed coffee," so the arranged marriage has been completely official right?" The question surprised Donghae, because he really didn't think she would know. Shocked, he spit some of his coffee out and turned to the young maid.

"Where did you hear that?"

"It's a hot topic to talk about in the mansion. It shocked me as well you know."

"She was the childhood friend a long time ago right? She is said to be known for her beauty," Yoona stated, something hidden in her cheerful voice.

"Tsk. She's no angel. She;s mean, bossy and spoiled. She can't even let me choose what type of shoes I can wear," Donghae complained, looking away. Yoona said nothing and continued with a smile shown on her face...but it seemed pasted. "You met her already right?" The maid stayed silent, the smile becoming a bit more fake every second. "Yo-"

"Congratulations," Yoona interrupted with a wavering cheerful voice," I'm sure the young master would be pleased with...her." Hearing Yoona say 'Congratulations' to him didn't feel right. It felt...wrong. He didn't want to get congratulated for the marriage from her. He didn't want to be marrying someone else in the first place. Yoona's message turned Donghae's mood harshly, as he stared at his cup of coffee.

"It's like you're begging me to quickly get married," he muttered, glaring at the coffee. "Are you happy that I'm with someone else?" Donghae begged for this question to be answered with a decline. Please say no. Please say no. Please say-

"Of course," Yoona beamed, smiling. Donghae's heart sank as he heard that answer and his eyes widened. He didn't want that answer. "Because the young master's happiness, is my happiness." Donghae, gripped to the handle of the chair unhappy with her answer. She didn't understand.

"My happiness?" Donghae began softly," Yoona you don't understand what I want." He stood up and faced the maid. " You don't understand anything." He pushed her softly against the wall, one hand stopping the attacking arm and went in, wanting to do what he was dying to do for so long. He kissed her passionately, feeling the softness of her lips. She didn't kiss back for a few minutes, leaving Donghae to think that she didn't have the same feelings, but her saw her eyes close and her lips move forwards and back to him as well. He rejoiced in his mind as he continued to kiss her. They slid down on the wall, still kissing each other and embraced their lips passionately.

After they finally broke apart, Yoona touched her lips, surprised at what just happened. She was blushing madly as she looked down at the ground, unable to look at the master. Donghae looked at her, panting a bit from exhaustion of air. He then looked away, standing up as he did so. "Do you understand? I...I love you. I was in love with you ever since the very day my parents took you in." With that he ran quickly out to the gardens to catch for air. The same garden he first met her.

Since that time we first met, I have always...loved Yoona
