“Jieun-ah, why don’t you go home and rest. You’ve been here 2 days straight” Mrs. Lee said to jieun. She smiled

faintly “I want him to see me here, when he wakes up” jieun said. jungshin had a successful operation said junsu, but

because of the impact of the accident, he is still in a coma. Jieun stayed beside him holding his hand. “you need rest

honey, look at you, jungshin will feel worse if he saw you like that, just go to your office and rest there. dahae will be

here later from L.A and she’ll accompany me here” Mrs. Lee said. “come on noona, let’s go, omma and appa are

checking up on you nonstop, don’t make them worry, okay?” jiyong said. she sighed and stood up. “if there’s any

changes wake me up okay?” she asked. “deh, I will be here, nurse gong will be there to check on you” jiyong said. as

they are waking in the lobby, jieun felt all the pressure, sleepless nights and the heartaches. It hurt her seeing jungshin

at that state. Minhyuk have told her that he is working nonstop since the night they talk on the lawn. That when he

finally decided to give up on her, he drank so much and insisted on driving, that’s why he ended up in an accident. At

first jieun blame him for drinking so much, driving under the influence of alcohol, and for thinking about her. but then

she felt guilty, she pushed him to do that. for one she is to blame. She wanted to be the first one he sees when he

wakes up. Seeing him like that made her realize that she may be living for seven years without him normally, but she

is not happy. She loves him and she needed to fight for that love. Hence she stepped over her pride.

Jieun didn’t know how long have she been sleeping but after that she felt rejuvenated. She sat up only to check on her

phone. It’s already 8 in the evening, so approximately she slept for like 11 hours or so. “oh Dr. Lee your awake.” The

nurse said. “ah deh, any news about Lee jungshin?” she asked. “none doc. Well, Dr. Kim check up on him earlier, he

said his vitals are good but it’s like he likes to sleep more” jieun nod. the nurse left her alone. A knock startled her.

junsu peaked from it. “can I come in?” junsu asked. “is he awake?” jieun asked abruptly. “jieun I believe you asked the

nurse the same question minutes ago” junsu faintly smiled. Jieun looked at her intertwined fingers sitting on her lap.

“jieun-ah.” “oppa, I’m sorry” she whispered as tears streaming down her face. She cant look straight at junsu, she

knows how he is feeling right now and she didn’t want to see it. “jieun-ah, don’t be sorry, I know all along the you

love him. Its always been him. That I cant replace him inside your heart. I was just foolish to think that I can be there

being a consolation.” Junsu chuckled. Jieun then look up to him. He is standing infront of her. “I’m so sorry, you’ve

always been so good to me, believe me I tried to love you, I wanted to” “but you cant dictate your heart jieun, even

your mind tells you that you didn’t love him anymore, your heart will only mock you. In love it is not Mind over

matter jieun. Our hearts might be smaller compared to the brain but it plays a huge part on our feelings. No scientific

beliefs can attest that” junsu said then planted a kiss on her head. “I’m letting you go, I want you to be happy” junsu

said. jieun cant help but to sob.

Later that evening, jieun insisted on staying on jungshin’s side again. “please wake up, I have a lot of things to say to

you, a lot of things to do with you, I know you can hear me, I want you back safe and healthy. I promise I will do

anything for you to be happy, for us to be happy.” Jieun wiped the tears on her eyes. she cant help not to cry

whenever she saw jungshin at this state. She is to blame. So she will do anything for him. Jieun didn’t realize that she

doze of holding his hand. she felt jungshin move so she instinctively sat straight. “jungshin-ah?” she whispered.

Jungshin carefully open his eyes and look around. “w-where am I?” he asked. Jieun smiled “you in a hospital” she

replied never letting go of his hand. jungshin notice that, his eyes fixated on their hands. “where’s my mom and dad?”

jieun mentally slap herself. “ah right, their outside I’m going to call on them. I’m glad your finally awake” she let go of

him and walk towards the door. “thanks doctor. By the way what is your name?” he asked. Jieun froze and turned to

face him. Jungshin is looking at her but he didn’t recognize her. “you don’t know me?” she asked. Jungshin carefully

shook his head while his eyes are registering a questioning stare. “do I know you?” jieun gasped and look away from

him. “I… I’m gonna call on your parents” she immediately walk out as tears fell from her eyes again. “jieun-ah?” junsu

spotted her still standing on jungshin’s door. “he.. he doesn’t know me.” Jieun whispered.
