Arirang
Description
Set in the 1950s during the Korean War, Stephen Jones is a frustrated American GI stationed in Korea during the war. He, unlike his rowdy and boisterous fellow soldiers, is kinder and more reserved. While in the Teahouse, an entertainment and ion bar, he meets singer Park Bom who is against the maltreatment of the girls at the Teahouse. The two meet and fall in love but Bom's arranged husband-to-be TOP tries to get in the way to prevent Stephen from breaking their union, revealing a big secret in the end.
Foreword
Set during war time. Not really a story about the war but a story that took place DURING the war.
I own Stephen Jones and any other non-Kpop name you see.
BEHIND THE TITLE:
"The South Korean government designated Arirang as the official march of the US Army 7th Infantry Division, after its service in Korea during the Korean War, though the official Division song was the "New Arirang March," Arirang arranged into an American-style march."
