It was so beautiful watching them count the days since it all started and since the relationship began and their so afraid that one may not like the other and rejection and Jonghyun is so confident and Key is so scared and then bam ... Together at last.
This was the best ending. It was happy yet didn't lose its ground in realism. And they ended up together at last ^-^
Chapter 2: Whereas Key's part of this story made me so sad ... Jonghyun's was so ... Jonghyun's was delightfully different. His perspective of his situation is much brighter; Key seems to have no hope, doing his best just to keep himself in one piece while Jonghyun has all the hope in the world. He's even calling it love. LIke that's a BIG DEAL.
And the way he slowly discovers his feelings over the course of the chapter, and even while he's discovering it he's questioning it because while he's hopeful he's nervous. I think every person discovering their ual identity has had this experience of feeling free and yet afraid at the same time. It's this beautiful contrast that is so hard to explain, and yet here it is captured so precisely.
Chapter 1: Key ... Key ... omg Key ... my heart. This was like poetry. Key's simple narrative about his feelings for jonghyun and his fear and insecurities ... it was so perfect ;-; Fan fictions have this really bad habit of making the characters seem above basic human feelings and fears but you've captured them all in this short little piece. I've said it once and I'll say it a thousand more times. The subtle tone you use in your stories combined with how much emotion you mix in just makes each one this unique little piece.
Key's feelings and his emotions and just it all was captured so right. Key is so in love with Jonghyun that even just pretending fufills his aching heart and the way that this seems to both break him and make him gives such depth. Key is a person with feelings too and insecurities and his pain is one that I think every single person can relate too. Key ;-;
