Chapter 1; did you forget?
A Birthday to RememberWith the sound of someone calling my name over and over again it got to my nerves. I groaned and peeked out from under my blanket and saw my mother sitting on the edge of my bed with a sweet smile.
“Good morning Dami-ah, you don’t want to be late for school. I’m sure everyone is waiting to greet you a happy birthday, especially JR” she said with a slight teasing tone
I bit my inner cheeks to hide the smile forming onto my lips and dashed out of bed quickly grabbing my uniform and ran to the bathroom to get ready. As soon as I locked the door to the bathroom I heard my mother laughing and shouted out before she disappeared downstairs
“oh by the way, JR is stopping over to walk with you to school and to have breakfast”
My eyes widen as I let out a frustrated huff and got ready with the speed of light
10 minutes later Dami made her way downstairs and caught a bit of her mother and JR talking
“yeah auntie I hope it goes well” JR said
“it will, don’t worry. Best of luck” Mrs. Choi said and patted his shoulder
“Best of luck for what?” Dami asked as she looked to JR and her mother
“Nothing Mi, come on lets go to school. Thank you auntie for the nice meal” JR quickly said and took his backpack and bowed to Mrs. Choi
Whilst Dami quickly grabbed a piece of toast she didn’t notice her mother wink and mouth the word “fighting” to the young boy.
The walk to school was anything but quiet, the two kept teasing each other, with JR mainly giving out compliments to Dami who ended up blushing madly.
“Oppa, do you know what today is?” Dami asked hopefully
“Nope, is there something special about today?” He asked as he looked at her as they reached the entrance to the school
“Never mind, I’ll see you at lunch” she sighed and walked ahead to her homeroom
JR watched Dami walk off with a angry look
“is she angry at me?” he asked himself as he shrugged his shoulders and went off to his classroom.
