I'll Always Be Okay
Description
I'll always remember Minzy as the one who was so kind and caring that she lied to my face while she lay dying. I'll always remember that she should've been resting instead of playing with her video camera. She tried to make everything seem so normal when it wasn't and it actually kind of worked. Whenever I rewatch these videos of her, I miss her more but I cry less.
Foreword
I lay in the hospital bed shivering. The nurse told me that she would bring me another blanket. However, she had said that about an hour ago. I turned to my side and brought my knees up to my chest hoping that the single blanket I had now would cover more of my body. All I accomplished in doing that was making the pain in my ribs worsen.
I leaned over the side of my bed and vomited up my breakfast. When would this be over? When could I finally rest? I mentally slapped myself.
"I don't want to die. I told them I would be okay," I whispered as my tears soaked the pillow.
