"YES!" I could hear the voice of my overly hyped up best friend ring through the halls of my parent's house. Before I knew it, the knife I was holding had slipped from my hands and banged against the cutting board I was slicing vegetables on, my oppa hugging me as tight as he could with a huge smile on his face.

"Yah!" I had finally managed to pry him off of me, resuming my task, "What exactly could you be so happy about?"

"I finally got a good apartment," he said hopping up and down...wow. I still find it unbelievable that even at the age of 25, how one grown man could be such a kid at heart.

"Congratulations?" it came out more as a question than an actual congratulatory statement.

"Hell yeah, see look," he pulled out a couple of photos, "This is the kitchen, and this is the first bedroom, this is the second one. Oh, and you'll love the living room!" he zoomed through most of them before I could even take a look at them...

"I can't believe you actually took pictures of your apartment...and you've only had it for..."

"Five hours," he completed my statement, "But anyway, there's also the-"

"What's the rent?"

"Oh, um..." he dug through his back pocket and pulled out some heavily crumpled up piece of paper...typical, "It's-" but his eyes just widened in shock as he read it silently.

"What?" I snatched the paper from him and read it myself...damn, "How in the world are you going to pay for this?"

"Um..." I sighed. Once again, it was so typical of him.

"You realize this is practically what you make in a month, right?"

"Damn it," he cursed softly, though loud enough for me to hear.

I sighed at his little situation as I continued to chop up vegetables for the soup I was making for dinner that evening, however, I stopped when our awkward little silence was a becoming a bit too much. I looked over to my side, noticing that oppa had a HUGE grin plastered on his face, "What?"

"You're still looking for a place, right?"

"Yeah..." I trailed off until I realized where this was going. My eyes immediately widened as I looked at him again, "OH HELL NO!"

"What, why not?!"

"Oppa!" I exclaimed, "I, Ahn Eun Byul, am NOT going to live with you, Dong Young Bae!"

"Oh come on! Please?!" he pleaded with his two little puppy eyes, "We could split the rent, you'll have a nice place to stay, and you're already used to being with me all the time, so what's the difference?"

"Well..." he had a point...

"So you'll do it?"

"What about your girlfriend?"

"Yah, quit coming up with lame excuses! And besides, I'm not up to that sort of commitment yet."

"And yet you'll live with me?"

"Yup!" he grinned.

"Commitment issues dude."

"Yeah yeah yeah. So you'll do it?"

"Hmm..." I tapped my index finger on my chin to create a fake thinking pose, "No."

"But-...but-"

"But what?"

"I'll be your best friend~"

"You are my best friend..."

"Well see, now you have to do it," his grin got even wider this time...how the hell is that even possible.

"No!"

"But Byul~" he started whining again, "I really want this apartment~"

"...F-Fine," I stuttered, not really wanting to agree, "But you'll be the one explaining to my parents why I have to go."

"YAY!" and he, once again, resumed hugging me so tightly that I had trouble breathing.

So...this will be interesting, living with my best friend. Living with my best friend that I've been in love with for five years now...
