Recipe For Disaster

Description

Why did I have to agree to that bet? Scratch that; why did we have to agree to that bet? Now we’ll have to act like a couple for the next three months.

Me, Hwang Soo Min, self-proclaimed spinster, and him, Kwon Ji Yong, resident playboy. It doesn’t help that he’s an arrogant and we both can’t stand each other. Heck, we can barely stand in the same room without getting into an argument or a piece of footwear flying towards him! Now, we’re expected to date each other? We’d be more likely to kill each other than kiss!

But my wallet and my pride are at stake here! I need the money to start my own business and he needs the money to go far, far away from here where he can’t bother me. So, what’s three months when I’m so close to fulfilling my dream? All I have to do is endure and not kill him, and then we’re home free! I mean, it’s not like I’ll fall for him, right?

Hwang Soo Min hates Kwon Ji Yong with a fiery passion. He hates her back twice as much. What happens when their friends bet that those two wouldn't last three months as a couple? They take it up, naturally.

It starts out as a way to save their dignity, but it's also the only way they can live their dreams. Soo Min needs the money to start her bakery business and Ji Yong needs the money to fly off to America for five months.

She wants to see him gone and he wants to be gone, so it's the perfect solution. The only downside was that they had to act like a couple for the next three months.

It doesn't sound that hard. Unfortunately, life is never that simple. They have to deal with each other, be forced on dates with each other on top of spending time together due to Kyung Mi and Daesung's wedding. On top of that, there's fights, drunken nights, wedding photos, angry fathers and... falling in love?

Oh boy. This sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Foreword

I let myself relax in the embrace for another moment before slapping the back of his head lightly, causing him to let go of me and give me a glare. There wasn't any heat behind the glare though.

"Yah, geek, what did you do that for?" he asked. I scoffed, crossing my arms.

"Kwon Ji Yong, since when did you become mushy?"

"I did not become mushy, you troublesome woman. Friends can hug too, you know."

"Who said we're friends?" I said, but the smile on my lips told otherwise.

He gave me a tired grin. "I do." There was another call for his flight, and it looked like he was hesitating.

"Go," I ordered, pushing him away. "I don't want to see your ugly face for the next eight months, arasseo?"

"Like I want to see yours," he scoffed. He walked off, and then stopped, looking over his shoulder at me. "Take care of yourself, alright geek?"

"You take care of yourself too, babo."

My mind was screaming at me to stop him, tell him. The words built up in my throat, choking me, but my lips stayed stubbornly locked. No, I wouldn't say anything. It's not like he felt the same way I did. Why would he? I'm Soo Min and he's Ji Yong. We'll always be from different worlds. He may not be a kingka anymore and I may not be a geek, but we're still from different worlds.

So... I haven't posted in a while. The truth is I've kind of gotten attacked by writer's block, so I'll take a while to post up the next chapter.
