Foreword
Prologue
A one fine winter day way back 18th century, a human was born on the 25th day of October. She belonged in a poor family, with nine of them children to be fed by their father. Being the youngest she was the one being sacrificed by the whole family. A clueless, blighting little child named Mi-hun[You]. Months before the day of her birth, her father lowered his pride to crept down for help towards the richest money-loaner in the village to ask for some financial help and knowing that the man who was in the highest position of that family was to be his biggest rival with the love of his wife. He cannot nor think of a way to feed his family. Having nine children going on to be ten in a row isn’t that easy to work for. He knew that the only person who could help him is the said man of the family.
The man first made an agreement, ‘the money and comfort will be gone to you, if and only if you abandon your wife and give her love to me,’but then he was too influenced by his feelings to his wife so he declined. He told him everything, every possible agreement for them to settle their thing.
The man came up with his brightest idea, leaving the other in disbelief and discouragement. Want to know what it was?
‘Your first born lady would be offered to me. That’s my last and least solution that I can give you. After that, no more. We’re done.’
Frantic at the same time desperate, although how much he wanted to decline with his condition, he felt the urge of agreeing with it. Until the baby was raised out of her mother’s womb, the rich man gave him a killed human as a replacement and presented it to his wife, declaring that the child was killed because of lack of nutrition during carriage. He regretted doing it, his conscience bugged him every day that it almost killed him seeing his wife mourn and displeased despite of their splendid living they had after the loss of their only lady. By then he decided to find and get his child, only to know that the man already had done something to his precious, his own flesh and blood. Anger overcame into him, how could this creature endure passing a vein to a kid whose yet clueless about those things that was bounded unto her?
‘You can do nothing but to accept it Junyoung, I passed my cursed blood to your daughter and threw her to the woods. I am free, free from the disease I kept centuries ago. I am now a human, and never will I want to get back to my old self, never…never!’
Until the man vanished like a dust in the air, still haven’t drained some of his inhumane abilities. The only thing that the regretful man can do was to forget about his lady and live his whole life poured with his unforgettable lies.
