“Kai**, darling?” Sooyeon called out from inside the kitchen. She finished washing the dishes and was putting the plates and chopsticks back to their place.

 

 

 

 

 

“Yes, mommy?” Kai replied in English. The little 5 year old boy was watching TV when his mother had called him and instantly, he stood up and ran to where she was.

 

Sooyeon smiled at her son. “Where's your dad?” She replied in English as well.

 

Kai lifted his chubby arms and pointed somewhere, “He's in his study room!” He cheerfully said with a smile.

 

Sooyeon couldn't help but chuckle at how he looked. “Can you call him, dear? I need help with cleaning up.”

 

Kai nodded while still smiling and ran towards the door of his father's study room and started to knock loudly, “Appa! Appa! Mommy needs you!” He continued to speak in English.

 

Jonghyun was chuckling as he opened the door. He crouched down to his son's level and ruffled his hair, “Aigoo Kai~ your appa can't speak English that well! Slow down so appa can understand, okay?” Kai nodded, still smiling.

 

 

After all the cleaning up was done, Jonghyun went back to his study room and was once again busy. Sooyeon shook her head and just went over to Kai who was busy singing along to Pororo's theme song. She sat down and sang along.

 

“One day i'll meet Pororo and we'll both be singing!” Kai exclaimed happily which made Sooyeon shake hear head and laugh.

 

“Yes, you two will have a good time~” She grinned, “It's bedtime already though, baby. Say farewell to Pororo and Crong now~” Sooyeon waved at the television.

 

“Bedtime already?” Kai pouted cutely, Sooyeon pouted too.

 

“I'm afraid it is, honey. Let's have you cleaned up and ready for bed now.” She stood up, turned off the television and carried Kai to the bathroom.

 

 

 

“Mommy, can you read me a story?” Kai said as he was tucked in bed.

 

“Hmm, what story?” Sooyeon smiled at her son. “Do you want me to read The Three Little Pigs to you again?”

 

Kai shook his head and pouted, “I don't like that one. The pigs were mean!” Sooyeon chuckled.

 

“What story then, my sweet angel?” Kai put a finger over his temple in a thinking position.

 

“How you and appa met!” Kai clapped his hands and nodded his head several times, “Please umma? Please~ I haven't heard that story before!”

 

Sooyeon blinked and stared at him for a few seconds. He's so young yet he wants to know how her and Jonghyun met already? Aigoo~

 

She let out a laugh and nodded, “Okay, okay. But promise me that after I tell the story you'll go to sleep, okay?” Kai nodded adorably.

 

“Once upon a time...”

Sooyeon bowed to the stewardess after she showed her her ticket and went to find her seat number. She trudged and groaned as she heard a little baby crying loudly.

 

'Ugh, please let me have a quiet and peaceful flight.' She thought to herself and shook her head. She passed by the first class section and pouted.

 

'I should've been one of those lucky people sitting in the first class section. Darn you, Krystal for telling dad to make me experience economy class for once.' She grimaced at the thought of her sister's smirk.

 

“You'll have fun, Sica unnie. I know it.” Krystal had said while smirking.

 

'I'll kill you, Jung Soojung. Let's just hope that the one sitting next to me won't be annoying.' She groaned once again.

 

Finally, she found her place and sat down. She let out a sigh and looked at the empty seat next to her.

 

“Please let me have a quiet girl seat next to me. Please oh please oh please!” She closed her eyes and started praying silently.

 

“Oh, here it is!” Sooyeon heard someone say in Korean, she looked up and saw a guy. A guy. When she laid her eyes on him she immediately thought how his facial structure reminded her of a dinosaur. She tried not to laugh but instead she chuckled.

 

The guy raised an eyebrow and eyed her for a few seconds before putting his bag on the compartment above him.

 

Sooyeon cleared and looked out the window awkwardly.

 

'He looks hot though. Let's just hope he's not annoying.' She thought.

 

She felt him sit down next to her and sigh. She eyed her from the corner of her eyes and inwardly laughed at how he was struggling with his seatbelt.

 

“Aish...” The guy cursed.

“You shouldn't curse in public, Mister.” She said in English. The guy looked at her with wide eyes and an open mouth, she chuckled. “Don't you think it's rude to look at someone with an open mouth?”

 

“Excuse me?” He said in Korean.

 

'Oh, maybe he doesn't understand English.' “Never mind.” Sooyeon said in Korean and just looked somewhere else.

 

“You're Korean, right?” The guy had asked her, she nodded. “Oh, cool! That's good. I was praying earlier to not seat next to someone who can't speak Korean. I guess my prayer was answered!” He smiled adorably.

 

Sooyeon raised an eyebrow. 'And my prayers weren't.'

 

“Good for you.” Sooyeon said flatly and looked at him. He was still smiling. 'God, why?' She groaned inwardly for the nth time.

 

“I'm Jonghyun. Kim Jonghyun. It's nice to meet you!” Jonghyun continued to smile and talk cheerfully, ignoring her cold aura.

 

“Jessica.” Sooyeon said carelessly and looked away from him. 'Please shut up now. You know my name already, shut up now.'

 

“Do you have a Korean name?”

“Sooyeon.”

“Well, since you're going to Korea I'll start calling you Sooyeon!”

 

Jonghyun sat back and relaxed, he let out a sigh and continued to smile to himself. “Let's have a safe flight!” He said to her.

 

'Ugh. Why God, why?' She smiled flatly at Jonghyun and just nodded her head.

 

“It's gonna be a loooong flight.” Sooyeon said out loud.

“And that's how we met!” Sooyeon smiled at Kai as he stared up at him with his mouth shaped like an 'o'. “Your appa was annoying back then. I wanted to ignore him.” She chuckled.

 

“Why didn't you ignore him, umma?” Kai asked curiously.

 

“She couldn't ignore me because I was hot and she instantly fell for me~” Sooyeon turned around and saw Jonghyun leaning his body on the doorway with a cheeky smile plastered on his face.

 

“Sure, I was so blinded by your gorgeousness that I couldn't help but to stare at you and answer all of your questions~” Sooyeon laughed and shook her head, but she wasn't lying though.

 

Jonghyun walked over and sat by the edge of Kai's bed. He ruffled his son's hair and kissed his forehead “Good night, little rascal...” Kai grinned and gave him a kiss on the cheek, he kissed Sooyeon's cheek too and lied back down. “Good night umma and appa! See you tomorrow~” He closed his eyes and instantly fell asleep.

 

“Sweet dreams, my sweet son~” Sooyeon whispered and kissed Kai on the forehead before standing up and pulling Jonghyun out of the bedroom.

 

Jonghyun wrapped his arms around Sooyeon's waist from behind and both of them waddled their way to their own bedroom.

 

“Sooyeon noona~” Jonghyun whispered into her ear which made Sooyeon giggle.

 

“Hm?” Sooyeon said without looking at him.

 

“Don't you think it's time we give Kai a baby brother?” Sooyeon pushed him away and stuck her tongue out, “Not yet.”

 

Jonghyun pouted, “But didn't he tell you? He said to me that he wants a baby brother for Christmas!”

 

“Christmas is 8 months away, Jonghyun-ah.” Jessica said nonchalantly.

 

“I'm sure Kai won't mind if his present is a month late~” Joonghyun lied down on the bed and pulled Sooyeon down and started to kiss .

 

In that moment, Sooyeon felt a strange feeling as if she was gonna be sick. She instantly pulled away from Jonghyun and sat up. Sooyeon put a hand over and ran to the bathroom.

 

Jonghyun sat up with a confused expression and waited for his wife to come back. “Noona, are you alright?” He called out as he heard the toilet flush.

 

Sooyeon came out of the bathroom, she was holding a towel and was wiping her hands. “I don't think we'll have a problem with Kai's Christmas present anymore...”
