Let's Break Up“Jam ggo dae, did you get all your boxes out of the truck?”
“Ye, omma. I’m going to go unpack.”
Standing in her room alone, she peeked a smile but it quickly vanished when she looked outside, “Aish! It’s raining. I hate rain.” She murmured to herself as she unpacked.
“What don’t you like.” her mother stated sarcastically standing by the door. “Please, have a better attitude by tomorrow huh? Every time it rains, you get this way.”
Eun Hye rolled her eyes, “Ye. Maybe, if it stops raining.”
“Cheer up, please. We’re in an entire new environment! Embrace it. Let’s work hard to begin a new life here. No more men.” her mom said sincerely. “Oh! Before I forget, I’m so sorry honey but I start work early tomorrow morning so I won’t be able to tour with you in the city. Will you be ok by yourself?”
“Yea, I’ll be fine. Don’t worry. I’ll do the grocery shopping as well. ”
“You’re a good girl, despite your attitude. Well, don’t stay up too late and get some rest, ok honey. It’s been a long day.” her voice fading down the hall.
That morning wasn’t any better. The black sea hovered above the city still and it was pouring harder than the day before. She threw her stiff black polka dot raincoat on over her yellow “Be Happy” shirt and plain old blue jeans and left with a red umbrella.
