Peek-A-Boo

Description

Himchan's breaths quickened, his heart stopped a little, and a few tears streamed down his face. It was all a lie? These two standing in front of him weren't really his parents. No. They built so many memories together. they were a happy.. Family. But it was all a lie. These two, Jessica and Donghae weren't his parents.

"No!" Himchan yelled and stormed out the house. He was on his way to the park, the one place that could calm him down to a neutral level, or at least calm his anger. The little kids gleefully their icecream cones stepped aside at once, not wanting to get yelled at by the angry man. Even if tears slid down his pale ivory face, they could tell he wouldn't hesitate to punch anyone. He sat on the nearest swing, causing nearby parents and children to . He sighed and looked down at his lap. Everybody always told him that he looked nothing like his parents. They always told him, but he didn't pay attention and said that it was a new generation of genes. Though, one day, when he was cleaning his father's office, he saw a file that said ADOPTION in big, bright yellow letters. He ignored that little thought at the back of his head, and continued cleaning. That night, he asked his parents if they ever adopted a child. Of course, as proffesional actors, they hid their nervousness, but they did admit that they adopted a chld before Himchan. His name was Daehyun, a little boy who always wore a black flu mask and rarely talked. He seemed very secretive, always writing in a little book. One day, there was an emergency call during the two's photoshoot.  It was about Daehyun. He had collapsed while walking to his 1st grade class. The little boy had cancer that coukd be cured, but while they talked about, the dreaded beep was heard. A long, eerie beep. That was as much as they admitted before bursting into tears.

Still, why didn't they tell Himchan he was adopted? And why did they tell him now? From the books that he'd read and the things his older friends had said, 17 was the worst year of your life. himchan had always been lucky, but now he was experiencing the worst year of his life. He noticed how long he had been at the park. The sun had set and the full moon was shining across everything.  A soft push sent the swing forward. It came back, but this time, he could feel somebody's fingers curl around the swing's chain to stop it.

"Did I scare you?" A deep, raspy voice asked. Himchan jumped a little and turned around, but there wasn't anybody there. Still, he heard the deep voice hum a rough tune and the swing seemed to keep pushing itself. Even if there wasn't anybody in sight, he could still feel somebody's prescence.
