“You like Ruu-chan, don’t you?”

A disturbing opening phrase came out of Inoo’s lips that didn’t fail to make Yuto choke from his food. He blinked twice before noticing the evil smirk the older boy was making and just took the chance to take a sip from his drink.

“Wh-What?” he managed to reply after gaining his usual self from the sudden remark of the ever so random Inoo Kei. It’s not long when Yuto felt a rapid feeling of uneasiness as the crowd around him started looking at his direction peculiarly – clearly interested on the discussion Inoo just brought up. This made Yuto give off a worried facial gesture and tried his best to look for something to change the topic.

“Well, do you?” said Yamada who’s obviously waiting for the taller boy to spill the beans. He sat down near him and just gave Yuto a strange look.

“hmmm~ Anou…”

“It’s obvious anyway…” Kei interrupted once again but this time, was supported by Hikaru. He looked at the blushing boy before thinking of a good idea to make him confess.

“Ehh? But I like Ruu-chan~” Hikaru proclaimed that made pairs of eyes go to his direction. Even Yuto who seems to have a hard time processing the statement his senpai just said.

“I’m planning to confess to her…” Hikaru continued, pushing Yuto to the limits… “You don’t mind, do you?” he turned to Yuto that in return just kept quiet and beamed a fake smile bin front of the 9 remaining members who seems to be amused by the conversation. Yuto knows for a fact that Hikaru has a crush on Louise since the beginning. Well, all of them seem to have a little something on her. Her strong willed attitude has somehow attracted the boys but the thought of having someone confess to Louise if far beyond Yuto’s apprehension.

Hikaru was about to speak again when a sudden familiar figure came through the door and greeted everyone. All eyes then turned to Louise as they thought the culprit of the whole conversation appeared just to save them.

“Konnichiwa~” Louise greeted with a smile but soon enough felt the awkwardness of the atmosphere… “Ehh? What’s going on here?” she uttered before seeing Hikaru approaching her own figure.

Yuto looked at her and suddenly, a smile formed on his face. Just for a while, he forgot about what Hikaru said and just focused on her direction. Her immediate sight seems to have driven Yuto out of it and make his heart beat a few times faster than normal. However, Yuto’s gaze was immediately disturbed by Hikaru who’s now approaching her girl.

“Ruu-chan~ good thing you’re here… Come and have lunch with us!” Hikaru immediately pulled Louise near their table and had his hand landed on her waist that didn’t fail to make her feel creeps down her spine.

“What do you think you’re doing, you ert?!” she whispered ever so softly, trying her best not to punch Hikaru in front of everyone. She then saw Hikaru leaning near her ear and whispered his explanation.

“Just go with the flow Ruu-chan… Relax~” Hikaru cheekily said whilst guiding her thoroughly near Yuto.

“You expect me to relax?? You’re touching my waist!” Louise said and glared at Hikaru once again. Hikaru and Louise tried not to be heard by the people around but the sight of this is enough to make Yuto blank on his standing. Is he jealous?

A few hours had passed and the echoing sound of Hikaru’s statement still lingered on Yuto’s ears. With sudden frustration, he picked up his beloved drum sticks and started beating a familiar beat on his drums with the image of Louise flashing before his eyes.

He tirelessly banged his drum until he felt himself collapsing on the carpeted floor.

“If you’re so worried, why don’t you beat Hikaru-kun to it?” Keito appeared out of nowhere and looked down on the hardly breathing younger boy on the floor. Yuto immediately sat up only to see Yamada, Chinen and Ryutaro tagging along Keito’s back. Indeed, these guys know him like a book.

 “Wh-What are you guys doing here?”

Yamada made himself comfortable near Yuto’s drum set and playfully started making a random rhythm on it. “This better be worth it Nakajima… Rio is waiting!” he stated, trying to make the boy guilty. Yuto just smiled but then, he saw Chinen sat right next to Keito while Ryutaro stayed near the table where all the food is laid and started eyeing the unimaginable things inside the Nakajima household.

“Confess dude!” Keito patted Yuto’s shoulder but only received a heavy sigh from the latter.

“I – I can’t… I don’t know how…” he remarked which made the four uninvited people sat around in a circle ready to help... "She might reject me"

“Give flowers~ That always work! I remember when I gave flowers to Rio and she—“Yamada started the conversation and tried his best to give ideas to the clueless boy sitting opposite him. However, Yamada fell flat on his sentence when he saw Chinen’s palm near his face, signalling him to stop his non-sense.

“We know that story Yama-chan… You told that to us many times! This is not about you and your girl!” Chinen protested that made Yamada pout from his place… “According to my sources, girls like simple confessions. That’s probably the thing Hikaru-kun was planning to do!”

“And what sources are you talking about Chii?” Ryosuke defended his side and is still sticking to his previous suggestion of ‘flowers’.

“Believe me, this will work!”

By this idea, the three boys just nodded except for Ryutaro who seems to be busy eating the candy randomly left on the table.

“Or just give her Chocolates… and if she rejects you, give them to me!” he chuckled randomly, earning a face palm response from the people around him.

*next day*

“Here goes nothing…” Yuto took a deep breath and started clutching the piece of paper he’s holding, containing the lines he’s supposed to say. Keito, Yamada, Chinen and Ryutaro decided to help with this piece of work which they called ‘Confession 101 by Hey! Say! 7’.

A few seconds later, continuous text messages came to his phone with the words of “Good luck” from his friends. This thought just temporarily gave Yuto a forceful smile, encouraging himself to do his plan of confession. He gulped twice as he tried to memorise what is written across the sheet to make sure he’ll say the exact words pleasing for Louise.

It’s not long when a sudden pat on his shoulder was felt that made him look around only to see a clear complexion of the person he truly admires.

“Yuto-kun? What are you doing here?” Louise said after seeing a sweating Yuto in front of her… “Something wrong?”

“R-Ruu-chan?” Yuto struggled to say but tried his best to sound perfectly normal despite his banging chest – afraid to be rejected… “I’m here to tell you something…”

“Okay~ but please wait for me… I’m just gonna get my phone inside. Rio might call” Louise excused herself for a while and left the sighing Yuto outside the room.

This time is not wasted by Yuto who decided to use the moment given by God to once again rehearse his lines which he knows he’s still not confident to say. He took a deep breath for the nth time and started saying the words on the paper once again as part of his practice.

“Ruu-chan… I – I like you…” he started…

“I liked you since the beginning…
The way you smile,
the way you fearlessly stand up for your friends,
the way you cheerfully come to my rescue every time I get bored of this entertainment industry,
the way you drink your Green Tea Frappe,
the way you take pictures from my camera,
the way you encourage me when I try new beats on my drum,
the way you make me feel when you’re near me
and the way you love your dog so much, I wish she was me…
and every little thing you do that catches my eye…” 

Yuto ended with few breaths before sighing in depression. He just noticed that all the things he said is not even on the paper his friends decided he'll say, but instead from his own thoughts of what he think is right and what he actually feels.

“AHHHGGGGGG!!! YUTO NAKAJIMA!!!! WHY DO YOU SOUND SO CHEESY????!!!” Yuto proclaimed, almost in a shout as annoyance touched his usual self. He started clutching his fist and felt his own eyebrows linking each other before sighing again, ready to give up.

“I don’t think it’s cheesy at all…”

All of a sudden, a familiar voice came from behind that made Yuto turn around in shock. He saw a smiling Louise in front of him along with an unexpected block on his throat. He tried his best to speak but the only thing that escaped his mouth is a simple:
“A-Ahh~”

“I think it’s sweet… And the best confession ever!” Louise approached Yuto and gave off her usual smile towards him. There is a sudden silence between the two but is soon replaced by the relieved expression on Yuto's face. He can't help but to give off a smile that already make Louise feel the urge to take a step towards his direction. 

“Ruu-chan… I – I like you…” Yuto uttered and took the initiative to lean forward Louise’s face and shorten the distance between their faces – not really minding the people around them. In an instance, Yuto felt Louise’s soft lips on his and by then… time stopped.

“Now, I can add another thing I like about you…” Yuto whispered…  “Your soft lips…”

Hikaru skipped happily towards the room where Louise often hangs around quite often. He just thought to push Yuto’s buttons even more and imagined the younger boy’s reaction when he hears about him confessing to the one he fancies. He grinned manically and started to turn towards the corridor when a shocking scene left him speechless.

“EHHH??!” he looked at Yuto and Louise with their lips touching that made him stop from his plan and immediately hide somewhere…

“Tsk tsk tsk… Yuto Nakajima~ you’re faster than I thought!”
