“Do you like the song?”

“Of course it’s…meaningful”

“Yeah…meaningful”

We stared at each other; the song we sang for the drama “Heading to the Ground” it had a different meaning for the two of us or more importantly for me.

“Your vocals were great Sunny!” Yuri said hitting me playfully on the arm, while Taeyeon staring at us with sad filled eyes.

“Haha thanks I like it better other than using my cute voice”

“Awwwww but you look cute when you use your cute voice”

“Last time I used that voice you wanted to punch my face!”

“It was a joke!”

“Yeah right like I would believe that lie”

“It’s not a lie Sunkyu”

“Eh!!! Don’t call me Sunkyu”

“Sunkyu, Lee Sunkyu” she kept on chanting, teasing me. I gave her a warning glare telling her to stop sooner or later.

“Yuri, stop it before she loses it” Taeyeon warned

“Fine, fine” she gave up walking away, waving her hands in defeat

“Thanks” I murmured

“No problem” she gave me that reassuring smile that could make my knees grow weak, I still kept my cool but my blushing face wasn’t helping me one little bit.

“Well, see you” she said waving a goodbye, I waved back, she had a lot to do today, her schedule was full, I doubt she even remembers the lunch date we agreed having today. 

I sighed to myself, why should I put up with these feelings? Why do I assume that she feels the same way? She liking Tiffany is a possibility while she liking me is impossible. I kept staring off to nowhere until somebody snapped me off my thoughts.

“Sunny!”

“Hmm, oh hi Sica”

“And I thought I was the only one who likes zoning out” she laughed at me I couldn’t help but smile at her.

“Well you do it much better than me”

“It’s a talent”

“In what world?”

“Shut up Sunkyu”

“Esh, you keep on calling me that whenever you don’t have an answer to my feedbacks”

“That’s because your too good”

“I love the compliment Ms. Jung”

“Don’t flatter you’re self Lee”

We laughed, we started doing this routine to annoy each other, too bad we got used to it fast.

“So anything you wanna talk about?” she started

I nodded “Nothings bothering me Sica”

“You sure?”

“Of course and don’t worry if anything’s bothering me I’ll tell you right away”

“Fine, but first promise”

“I promise Sica~” I assured her holding my hand up

“That’s better” she said while patting my head, I pouted and she pinched my cheeks. After a while I bid her a goodbye telling her I needed some air.

***outside***

I sighed I love the feeling of the cold winter wind against my skin. Call me crazy but I feel like some of the pain is going away. I looked at my watch it was quarter to 12 and I had a lunch date with Taeyeon that is if she would show up.

I entered the restaurant we SNSD’s liked to go to. The waitress smiled at me, acknowledging my presence and walked me to the seat reserved for me and Taeyeon. I waited patiently for her until my rumbling tummy begging me to feed it. 

It was almost 1 and I haven’t eatin anything. To make sure I wouldn’t be called rude I ordered a take out, Taeyeon’s favorite food.

***practice room*** 

“Hey Sunny!” I looked over my shoulder and saw Taemin grinning like an idiot

“Yes Taeminine?”

“Ahh don’t call me that noona” he pouted, I smiled at his cute antic, no wonder everybody loved him

“Ok, ok I’m sorry. So what do you need?”

“Ah! Your manager said that SNSD left early, and since you weren’t at the building they left without you so you’d be ridding with us” I was shocked they left me? Ahh more bad luck for me I guess.

“Ahhh ok, so when does your schedule end?” I asked

“Right about …… now” he said smiling looking at his watch. He’s such a weird kid

***Dorm***(no p.o.v)

“Huh?!?!?! You left Sunny on the building?” Taeyeon shouted

“Well you see she wasn’t inside the building and we couldn’t contact her so our manager got 
frustrated and left her” Yoona explained

“But still!!! One of you could’ve at least stayed behind to wait for her” 

“But Taeyeon weren’t the two of you having a lunch date today?” Yuri said

Taeyeon remained quiet, she forgot about their date because of her busy schedule, and Sunny was probably waiting for her at the restaurant.

“You forgot didn’t you?” Jessica exclaimed. She nodded her head slowly, guilt trapping her so much

“Don’t worry about it Sunny wouldn’t get mad” Sooyoung said

“You don’t know that” Taeyeon defended, afraid of Sunny getting mad at her.

“Sunny could never be mad at you” Hyoyeon joined

“I could never be mad at who?” Sunny said suddenly walking inside the dorm

“At Tae-“ Sooyoung suddenly blurted out but was stopped by Taeyeon’s hand

“What?”

“Nothing” Taeyeon hastily said

“Well whatever, I’ll be heading to bed now bye” she said going to her room

“She’s been out on the cold hasn’t she?” Jessica suddenly asked

Everyone nodded their heads, except Kim Taeyeon who felt as if the entire world crumbled above her burying her in the darkness and guilt.

***room*** back to Sunny’s p.o.v

“Finally warmth” I said sloping down to bed enjoying the warm heat of the heater

“Sunny?” Taeyeon’s voice slashed through the silence I enjoyed

“Hmmm?”

“Are you umm…ok?”

“Of course why wouldn’t I be?” 

“It’s just because…ummm…about the lunch-“ she 
started but I cut her off

“Nah its fine, I understand that you were busy today, so I just ordered a take out for you” I said pointing to the plastic at the top of her bedside table

“Oh, thank you but you shouldn’t have”

“I wanted to Taengoo nothing you can do about it” 

“Yah you’re right” she said, sitting at the edge of my bed, looking at me, I felt her stare so I decided to open my eyes

“Anything you wanted to talk about Taengoo?”

“Nothing Bunny” she said getting up from my bed, not thinking straight I held her wrist stopping her from going any further away from me.

“What is it Sunny?”

“Please don’t go” I whispered 

“What? Why?”

“I feel cold Taengoo I need someone to hug” 

“Fine, move a bit will yah” I smiled and moved, 
while she laid next to me looking into my eyes

“Anything else?” she joked. I just smiled and wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Just stay with me through the night” I pleadingly said. She looked at me surprise but then nodded and cuddled closely to me.

***morning***

Morning came and as I opened my eyes Taeyeon wasn’t there next to me. She was either cooking breakfast or waking everybody up. I groggily sat up and looked at the plastic bag I gave Taeyeon. I smiled as I saw it wasn’t there anymore, I stood up heading towards the kitchen.

“Morning Sunny” Yuri greeted, I smiled at sat next to her

“Morning Yul”

“What do you want for breakfast?” she asked

“Hmmm…why? You’re cooking breakfast? Should I order take out instead?” I playfully teased

“Yah! You’re mean”

“Oh come on, so where’s Taeyeon?”

“Oh, she’s out with Tiffany, she didn’t prepare breakfast cause she ate that food you took out for her” 

“Oh” I said, she and Tiffany bonding huh, should I be jealous?

“Yeah so she left me in charge. So what do you want?”

“I’ll have a pancake” 

“Coming right up”

Taeyeon and Tiffany arrived at the house while all of us were eating

“Yah Yuri don’t eat that that’s mine” I shouted

“What’s all the noise about?” Tiffany asked Taeyeon while she nodded an i-don’t-know

“Haha Sunny stop that it tickles” Yuri laughed beneath me. I got furious when she ate the pancake 
I was saving for later so I pushed her off the chair, locked my legs on the side of her hips and my hand tickling her sides, while the others were laughing their butts off well except Taeyeon and Tiffany looking at us with weird faces.

“Not until you make me another pancake” I said tickling her harder than before. She wiggled and tried to stop my hands but I was stronger.

“Fine, fine I’ll make you another one” she said in between laughs

“Really?” I asked and stopped tickling her

“Gotcha”

“Wha-“ I was interrupted when she rolled as over, she being on top and me underneath her, our faces only centimeters apart

“You’re easily fooled Sunkyu” she exclaimed while standing up and helping me to my feet

“Yah, yah whatever” I mumbled while sitting again

“Did you guys eat breakfast yet?” Hyoyeon asked the two late comers

Taeyeon looked at me, her face asking millions of question, but remained quiet and answered Hyoyeon.

“Yah I ate this morning” she murmured head down, obvious that she was disappointed about something

“I want to eat but there’s nothing left on the table” she pointed at the empty plates

“Yuri would gladly make you new pancakes” I gestured towards her

“Wait what?”

“Thanks Yul”

“But…but…”

“Revenge is sweet” I whispered against her ear, gaining attention from everyone especially 
Taeyeon’s piercing stare

“What the heck Sunkyu?”

“Good luck feeding a hungry Tiffany Yuri-ah” I teased pinching her cheeks while she glared at me. 
We were having a peaceful moment when Taeyeon suddenly rushed off to our room.

“What’s wrong with her?” Sooyoung asked, we all answered with an I don’t know

“Sunny should ask her what’s wrong” Yuri stated

“Wait what?”

“You are her closest friend right?” Yoona joined

“Fine, fine I’ll go now”

I rushed off to our room only finding that it was locked.

“Yah Taeyeon, open the door, what’s wrong with you” I said punching and kicking the door

“Nothing that concerns you” she answered me 
harshly. I momentarily stopped at what I was doing. Was she mad at me or something, I kept quiet until I heard silent sobs inside our room, that’s when I decided to open the door.

“Hey Taeyeon, Taengoo come on open the door, there’s something wrong with you and I want to help” I calmly told her. I was waiting for a reply when I heard the door’s lock click.

I entered the room only to find Taeyeon at her bed, her back facing my face and crying

“Taengoo what’s wrong?” I asked her caressing her back
“Don’t touch me” she harshly pushed my hand away

“What the heck is your problem” I asked losing my 
patience

“You’re my problem” she said facing me. I kept silent, I saw her eyes, they were red and puffy it was obvious she’s been crying this entire time.

“What did I do?”

“Are you blind or just plain old dumb?” her 
harshness doesn’t seem to end

“What are you talking about?”

“Can’t you see that I get jealous whenever you and Yuri doing lovey-dovey stuff?”

“You’re jealous?”

“Yes! Can’t you see that, Can’t you see that I frown whenever touch or hug her?”

“I don’t understand it Taeyeon”

“I’m in love with you Sunny, I’ve always had. I don’t know why I didn’t confess to you earlier, it hurts to see you and Yuri are now dating” she said keeping her head down

“Me and Yuri d…dating?” I stuttered

“Aren’t you guys? With the all the moments and stuff”

“We aren’t dating”

“Really?” her face lit up

“Yeah cause I’m in love with someone else”

“Who?” her voice filled with fright

“You” I said and closed the gap between us, she deepened our kiss when she moved her hand to my neck. I smiled and pulled away

“I love you Sunny”

“I love you too Taeyeon” I said while pulling her close kissing her again.
