Derealization
What I want to say the next time we meetIt took a week for Kyuhyun to shake the dissociative feeling. It was a strange feeling and one that was difficult to describe. He had the strange feeling that he was the main character in some bizarre sort of independent film. It felt as if the world was revolving around him, alternating in fast and slow motion while he himself stood still. The first two days of the week he had not been alone. There had been one other to occupy the silence with him. There were few words spoken between them in those two days, and those that were uttered were simply conversations of the mundane. It was not in words that they spoke to one another, it was in the silences in between the words. The pause for breath, the attempt at a smile. The words they have never spoken shouted from every brush of skin, every moment of eye contact, however brief. The air between them was fraught with tension. Their friends could even feel the weight that hung between them and found themselves talking with hushed and reverent voices whenever they neared the two. The friends were waiting for the storm to break between them, for the words they could see floating across their glances to be spoken instead of intimated. And even the most obnoxious and careless members could see that this was no time for coarse joking or teasing words. It was all so very real. They all at one point felt vaguely voyeuristic, like they were watching a drama that was about to reach its dramatic .
Heechul kept finding a nearly crying Ryeowook in his arms. "It's so beautiful, hyung," he would say. "It's breaking my heart and I don't know why." Heechul would just smile knowingly and pat him on the back. It would take torture and lots of money for him to admit it, but he had also found himself on the verge of tears as he watched the relationship between his friends bud and bloom, and now it seemed the blossom was about to reach its most breathtaking point.
If anyone had been keeping count, they would have realized that they had been watching this particular drama for years. But the main characters were both slightlly obtuse in their individual ways. Ryeowook was actually the first to notice, and of course he told Heechul. Soon it was obvious to everyone but themselves. So the other members mostly left them alone to let them work things out between them.
But it seemed that time had run out. Yesung was leaving for his national service.

definition of derealization
A/N this is really short for a first chapter, it's more like a forward, but it seemed a natural place to break.
