                It was one of those rare mornings that he kept the sound system of his Maserati turned off. For now, his thoughts were the only company he needed and wanted at. He was on his way to the head office of HLK, headed by none other than Heechul, Leeteuk and Kangin; something that was not on his schedule but he had anticipated it nonetheless… and that was only thanks to Yunho’s early morning visit to his office and to events of the previous night... or early morning depending on who was being asked.

“We got it.”

Yoochun pulled away slightly from his glass desk. “I didn’t expect anything less, hyung.”

“His lawyers are still going to finalize all the details with us and HLK.” Yunho shut the door behind him, approaching the younger man and handing him a thick folder. “But at least we have the papers that begin our ownership of Siren and Flame.”

He took a deep breath as he accepted the files. “How many are there?”

“Just the one Kangin hyung shot.”

“Just one?”

“If you’re asking about whose been sent to hell permanently, then yeah.”

“Well, that’s good.”

Yunho nodded in understanding. “So you’ll be the one to head to HLK?”

“I live for business. You know that.” The younger man smiled wryly, browsing through the folder. “Would you want Siren or Flame?”

“It really doesn’t matter to any of us… though I have a feeling the world will turn upside down if Heechul hyung doesn’t get Siren.”

“Sometimes I wonder how Heechul hyung is a gang leader when he’s so… feminine.”

“That’s the world of gangsters for you… always full of surprises.”

                Park Yoochun had always been known as the reluctant gang leader among the five that was DBSK and everyone – including himself – knew that it was the right name so to speak for him. He had never wanted to be a gang leader; his dreams back then were nowhere near the life he had now. But then again… he wouldn’t be alive if it wasn’t for the one person who was part of this life.

                His life was supposed to be short – too short. That fateful night, his university friends got into a fight – a bar fight no less – with a group of men who turned to be gang members. Yoochun was never one who liked to take part in violence but because he was a friend of his friends… Well, he was an automatic target. Yoochun grimaced as he remembered that night vividly; how he was beaten up so badly, it didn’t hurt anymore. He was going to die. He was sure of it.
