Hyojoon's POV

Oh no! I'm late! Late! Late! I am so dead! I'm gonna die early! God help me! Rewind back the time! 
 
Psh like real
 
Whatever you stupid conscience. 
 
But still! If I'm late for dance lessons, I will be punished! Washing the (smelly) toilet, 200 sit ups and 100 push ups! 
It's gonna be hell! 
 
Since my apartment and the studio is not that far, I ran all the way. It was a busy day so I can't really depend on the 
public transport. 
 
I took a breather for a while and continued running. I look at the watch. 
 
 7 minutes left!
 
I entered the building and went to the lift. When I saw that the lift was about to close, I immediately stopped it 
with my foot. 
 
"S-sorry, excuse me..." I apologized. As I looked up, I saw the man of my dreams. He was sparkling. He looked so chic
putting this hands in his pocket and hanging his headphones around his neck. 
 
That person is Tao. The person I've been loving for almost 2 years. He's a senior in my school. I never confessed to 
him because I can't control my drool. 
 
"Aren't you getting in?" he asked, irritatedly. 
 
I snapped out of my imaginations and wiped my mouth in case of drools. I cleared my throat awkwardly and bowed slightly. 
 
That was embarassing!
 
I stole glances at him once in a while. My heart starts to beat uncontrollably. I could feel my face getting hot. I 
felt really nervous being in the same room or lift as him. 
 
Suddenly, I felt a jerk. The list stopped suddenly. I didn't move. 
 
I think I know where this is going..
 
"Erm.. I think we're stuck..." I said softly. 
 
He sighed, "Well yeah obviously. Guess we can't do anything but wait." He sat down at the corner. 
 
My eyes widened. Being in the same lift as him?! Breathing the same air as him?! I couldn't take it! My heart is gonna 
explode soon! 
 
"W-WHAT?! W-WAIT?! NO NO NO! WHO KNOWS THERE MAY BE DANGEROUS CREATURES HERE." I shrieked.
 
Like me.
 
"A-AND WHO KNOWS I MIGHT JUST JUMP ON YOU BECAUSE YOU'RE JUST SO H-" I blinked my eyes. 
 
"I-I mean.... It's just awkward in here. We should press the button or something. It should be somewhere here." I said 
as I randomly search the lift. 
 
Omg thank god I didn't finish my sentence. Control yourself Hyojoon!
 
He laughed softly, "You're funny." 
 
My heart skipped a beat. 
 
I smiled. He doesn't know how that sentence, whether its a compliment or insult, made me smile. 
 
"Sit here and wait. You don't want to stand there right?" He asked, looking into my eyes.
 
Please don't do that. I'm gonna melt soon.
 
"B-but!" I protested. I can't control myself that well. 
 
Without any warning, he pulled me beside him. I didn't want to reject him so I did as he said. 
 
The touch of his hand made me feel safe and reassured.
 
"What's your name?" He asked.
 
"I-I'm Hyojoon. Im Hyojoon." 
 
"Nice name. My name is-" 
 
"Tao. Huang Zi Tao." I finished his sentence. Realizing what I just said, I immediately panicked.
 
"I-I'm not a stalker! I-I just heard your name all around the campus! Y-you see I'm actually in the same school as you 
that makes me your junior!" I explained. 
 
He smiled, "No wonder you seems familiar." 
 
"Y-you know me?!"
 
"Heard you were quite a dancer. Oh! Maybe you're heading to the dance studio on the 13th floor?" He asked, turning his head
at me.
 
I nodded my head vigorously. 
 
He patted my head and smiled. "Tell me more about yourself." 
 
I gave him my biggest smile. I told him all about myself. But of course left one big thing behind. 
 
The fact that I love him. 
 
"So, you're pretty and talented, do you have a boyfriend?" He asked, not looking into my eye. 
 
No. I'm waiting for you.
 
"Nope. I'm waiting for this guy who doesn't know that I exist." I said as I looked at his side profile. 
 
He suddenly turned and looked at me. Our eyes met. I feel electricity passing through me. I quickly looked away. 
 
"Who's the special guy?" He asked. 
 
"Someone. You know I've liked him for almost 2 years. He's graduating next year and I've yet to confess to him." 
 
"Why not?"
 
"Cause I'm not brave. I'm scared of rejection. He has lots of pretty female friends. Why does he need to look at me?" 
 
"I like you." Tao blurted. 
 
I blinked my eyes. W-what? 
 
"I-I mean... As a friend. You're fun to hang out with, you have a pretty smile, you're humorous, you're talented and 
you're a great friend." He said.
 
"Oh..." My heart sank in disappointment. 
 
Should I tell him that it's him?
 
"Do you wanna know who?" I asked. 
 
"If you want to. I don't want to pressurize you." 
 
"If I tell you, promise me you won't freak out?" I whispered. 
 
He nodded his head and said, "Promise." 
 
I let out a sigh. I braved myself. 
 
You gotta end this feeling once and for all. Just accept reality.
 
"I-I like..... A person who is kind and charismatic. Although he don't say much, he's still charismatic. He's just 
perfect. I want to be by his side." I confessed. 
 
"The person is in the same lift as me right now." I shut my eyes.

...
 
"What?" He asked. 
 
"You promised you won't freak out!" 
 
"I'm not! I'm just... shocked." 
 
"Y-you don't have to tell me an answer now!" 
 
But all of a sudden, I could feel something warm on my lips. I opened my eyes and found Tao's lips on mine. 
 
My heart accelerated in seconds. My mind was blank. Is this reality or just illusion? 
 
I could feel Tao's arms around my waist. He deepened the kiss. He nibbled on my bottom lips and I opened my lips 
slightly.  I s my arms around his neck and pulled him closer to me. 
 
He pulled away from the kiss feeling breathless as I do. My mind was in a mess. 
 
"I love you. I love you when I saw you dance in the studio. You were so confident. I love you ever since." Tao kissed 
the area near my mouth. 
 
"A-are you sure? You look so angry when I entered the lift." 
 
"Not really. I need to have my pride too. I don't want to look like a total idiot in front of my crush." He kissed my 
lips softly. 
 
I smiled like an idiot before pulling his shirt and kissed him on the lips. I've been wanting to taste his lips for 
so long that I might go crazy. 
 
The lift suddenly opened and gasps could be heard. 
 
I turned my head and saw that we were kissing in front of a bunch of strangers. I pushed Tao away and bowed, feeling 
so embarassed. 
 
Tao realised this and he also bowed. We both took our bags and walked out of the lift, holding hands. 
 
"That was embarassing. I never thought I'd do that in real life." I covered my face. 
 
"You're embarassed being with me?" Tao showed a sad face.
 
"NO! Not at all! It-" He kissed me. 
 
He dropped his bag on the floor and took my shoe bag and threw it on the floor. 
 
People around us were gossiping but we could only care less. 
I've already got the guy I want.
