Singing In The Rain

“Is this everything?”
“Yup.”
“Great. Let’s head home now.”
They were on their way out when they noticed people blocking the door way. They went a little closer just enough to see that the commotion was caused by the heavy downpour outside.
“Did you bring any umbrella?” he asked.
“No.”
“I was so excited to go home and devour on your cooking. I guess I have no choice but to wait then.” He looked up and as if scolding the sky said, “Bad rain! Bad, bad rain!”
She smiled at his action, and winked at him, “I’ve got a better idea.”
Even before he could react, she had already ran into the open. Raising and opening her arms as if praising the heavens, grinning happily. Gliding and skidding like a little child.
“I love the rain!” she shouted at him.
He reacted on impulse upon seeing her, without even thinking. The groceries left forgotten, and within seconds, he was already with her, hopping and twirling in the rain. People were watching them with surprise and amusement in their eyes, but he didn’t care. All that mattered was the
