After 8 years…

“Heaven.. Heaven.. Heaven… Haengbokkhee≈≈≈ #$*/!” Ailee slightly hit a sharp on the last note.

“Let’s go one more time.” JB authoritatively instructed Ailee.

“Again? The reunion on Kirin is only a few hours away, how long are we still going to do this?” Ailee whined exasperatedly to her producer.

JB can only smirk at Ailee, “Then do it right so I can okay it in one go.”

“Come on.” Ailee pouted at her producer for being such a perfectionist.

“No. It may be okay any other day but I can’t go easy on you today.” JB insisted.

“Aren’t you even excited to see Rian?” Ailee complained; she couldn’t believe that JB could actually be this kind of producer- totally strict.

“I am.”

“See? Then let’s end it for the day. I know you miss her.” Ailee secretly wished that this time her producer would waver and let her off the hook.

“You know how important this song is too, it’ll be the main track of your first solo album.” JB scolded Ailee for being such a whiner; of course he missed Rian so much but he just wanted the best for his friend.

HershE never became one again. Nana had her cyst completely healed but couldn’t go on singing with her usual high notes, so she decided to go on duet with Hongjoo. While Rian decided to continue pursuing her ultimate dream of becoming an actress and went abroad. So with that, Ailee decided to go on solo and he became her producer. Eden also never got the chance to become one too because he couldn't dance anymore just like before that's why he pursued being a producer. And right now, he enjoyed being one.

“I know. I know it very well.” Ailee dutifully replied.

“Okay then. We’ll do it one more time.”

 Ailee started off singing from the very start.

Rian haven’t had any chance to go back to Korea ever since the day she left after her party. During her party 8 years ago, she met one of her former mentors and offered her to take part in a prestigious acting workshop abroad. She didn’t want to miss the opportunity to be the queen of Cannes so she immediately grabbed the chance without thinking twice.

She’d been really busy with lots of acting workshops and projects for 8 long years now , that she thought this was the right time for her to enjoy the vacation given to her. It was because she badly missed her family and friends. Add up to that, she received an invitation for their Reunion Party at Kirin.

She was busy listening to her ipod when someone familiar sat next to her.

“Uremaniya Rian” HS happily greeted her.

 “Haesung ah. Are you here for the reunion too?” Rian asked HS.

“Yes. I received the invitation a week before. And it’s really shocking that we even had to share the same flight. By the way, don’t forget to invite me on your wedding, hara?”

“Wedding? I don’t have plans like that yet, where’d you even hear that? Besides, who would ever be insane enough to marry me? What an unlucky guy.” Rian can’t help but feel that way. She just stoop her head.

“Yah! What about JB?”

Rian shook her head upon hearing his name. “We haven’t even had any contact.”

“Don’t hide it already, I know you two love each other so much.” HS teased Rian.

“I have nothing to hide. Besides, how can that happen when I’m not that sure about his feelings for me?”

HS smiled at Rian who seemed to have no idea how strong JB’s feelings are. “Let me tell you a story. On the last day of the super idol audition, there was someone who went all the way to the airport to see me off.”

HS look at Rian stiffened. HS smiled and continued,

*Flashback*

“Why did you come? It’s time for you to be auditioning right now.” HS asked JB.

“I have something to tell you and I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me.” JB teared up a little.

“Wae?”

“It’s because you were right all along.”

HS bitterly smiled knowing perfectly what he meant, “about your feelings for Rian?”

“Ohh.” JB bit his lower lip, guilt was written all over his face.

“You don’t need to be guilty about it. I knew this day would come.”

“Haesung.. I actually really like you but..” JB couldn’t seem to continue his statement that she finished it for him even though it hurts her, “but you love Rian.”

He gave her a look of sympathy and stooped his head. He’s not even denying now that he really loved Rian.

“Yah! Don’t give me that look, it’s really okay. I won’t forgive myself if I’d be the reason for you to hold back what you truly feel. Don’t worry about me, besides I know that I’m just a fan and nothing more. What you showed me was the best treat a fan could ever get. I couldn’t ask for anything more.”
 

“You’re not just a fan HS ah. You’re a one good friend too. Even though we spent only a short time together, you’ve done so much for me and I thank you for that. Now that you’re close to your dream, I wish you all the luck!” JB pat her shoulder.

“You, being here to see me off is all the luck that I need. Now, go back to Rian and tell her everything. Don’t hold back like what you did before. Follow your heart JB. Annyeong!”

*end of flashback*

“And with that, he ran all the way back to Kirin.” HS told Rian who was looking at her doubtfully.

“I assumed that you two patch things up after that but judging from your expression, it’s not what happened right?”

“He actually did try to patch things up for us. He said he was willing to wait but I don’t know if I could trust my heart to him again so I left him hanging and let him wait for all these years without contacting him at all.” Rian couldn’t help but get saddened at the thought of it.

“Tell you one more thing, when we were still at Kirin, I accidentally saw an album in JB’s room. An album full of your pictures together, safely hidden on his cabinet.”

“He let you enter his room?” Rian was more shocked with the idea of HS entering JB’s room than how JB’s still keeping their album.

“Ani. I came in uninvited. I was stalker then, remember?” HS couldn’t believe how crazy of a fangirl she was back then,  both girls laughed at the thought of it.

“Yeah right, with all of those kinds of JB items. Btw, do you still have those things with you?” Rian couldn’t help but ask.

“I’m not that kind of obsessed fangirl anymore. I know better things than to keep that kind of stuffs.  Moving on, remember when you asked me about what JB seen in me that he didn’t see in you?”

“Ohh. And you gave me that Rubic cube thing. But you answered me vaguely.”

“Well, his old self.”

“Neh?”

“He saw his old self in me that’s why he got attached with me. And because of that, he thought he really liked me. But what more you don’t know is that no matter how he declared his liking to me, deep inside him, he still loves you. He’s just afraid that he’d break your heart again. He loves you more than anyone in the world, Rian ah. Give yourselves a chance to be together again, you two deserved to have the second chance.”

Yoojin was the first one to arrive on the venue, wearing his old uniform as prescribed by the dress code of the invitation.

“Oh. Seems like I was too early.” Yoojin noticed as he entered Kirin Arts School’s graduation hall.

“Nope. You’re just in time.” Their former principal approached him. “Yah. You grew to be really handsome rockstar yoojin! I see myself in you!”

“Of course. I am the coolest! Anyways, where’s everyone?” YJ scanned the hall.

“They’ll be here any second.”

As soon as principal said that, JB arrived.

“Oh. JB, you’re early too!” YJ greeted JB.

JB looked around and was disappointed.

“Looking for someone?” YJ teased JB.

“Where are the others?” JB was still scanning the whole area.

“Do you mean Rian?” YJ gave JB a mischievous smile.

“Where’s your girlfriend by the way?” JB diverted their topic.

“ I thought the reunion was exclusive so I haven’t brought her with me.” YJ honestly replied.

“Pabo. You still haven’t changed, have you? Of course, you can bring anyone with you.” JB condemned YJ.

“Then why haven’t you brought someone with you?”

“It’s because… “ JB’s voice trailed off, “You can call your GF now if you want so we could also meet her.”  JB wished that he’d drop their earlier subject and move on.

“Chincha? I’ll call her then. You’ll be so surprised with her.” YJ immediately dialed a number and waited for the other line to pick up.

Siwoo and Nana entered the hall comfortably a minute later. Uibong and Leeseul followed entering hand in hand. Not long after, Hongjoo, Soondong, Haesung and Ailee came. With a few talks among everyone, YJ’s gf finally arrived.

“Yeorobun, here’s my yeoja chingu. She’s from the popular idol group, KARA” YJ introduced his GF.

“Anyeonghasaeyo. Pangapsumnida..”

JB couldn’t pay much of attention to YJ’s gf because he was busy looking out for every person entering the hall. And this is because Rian wasn’t around yet.

“Yah! Hasn’t anyone of you seen Rian?” JB couldn’t help but interrupt YJ’s introduction of his gf to everyone.

“Well, we had the same flight earlier. We reached Korea at the same time. I also wonder why she’s not here yet.” HS told JB.

With that, JB started to freak out now, he’s getting a little panicky. Maybe she didn’t really want to see him that’s why.

His worries faded all at once when YJ approached the person whom he had been waiting for to come.

“Yah! Rian ah! I thought you won't come anymore.”YJ greeted Rian.

“Why won’t I? I was just a little caught up in a traffic jam.” Rian smiled at YJ.

She looked around. “Yah! Surprisingly, all of you really followed the dress code. You all managed to wear your uniforms. I feel like I’m an outcast here.” Rian jokingly remarked.

“Aigoo. Since when did you worry about dress codes? Ever since then, you weren’t following the right uniform to wear!”

“Keke. Oh, who’s she?” Rian got curious at the girl who suddenly cling on YJ.

“By the way, she’s Nicole, my girlfriend.”

“Whoa? Girlfriend??? Yah! Jin Yoo Jin, Is that really you?”

Rian pinched his cheeks while YJ whined, “Yah! You’re embarrassing me. “

Nicole giggled and so Rian even pinched harder this time while saying, “Eottoke? I miss doing this.”

“JB!! Kindly tame your girlfriend here! I’m begging you!” YJ unknowingly asked for JB’s help. JB’s now approaching them.

Rian then let go of his cheeks and hurriedly said,  “I still have to greet others,  nice to meet you Nicole. See you two later.” She started to walk away. YJ scratched his head in confusion while JB instinctively chase after Rian.

“Rian ahhh.”

Rian stood frozen as she heard JB called out for her name. She missed his voice. She finally looked back and faced him. She took a deep breath and shortly waved her hand. “ Annyeong.”

“If I didn’t call for you, you won’t even greet me.”

“Mian. Keke.” She gave him a warm smile.

“Yah! Are you trying to ignore me? Is that how you’re supposed to treat me after 8 years of not contacting me at all? You’re not returning my calls, do you even read my messages or e-mails? You could’ve at least replied once. You don’t know how I go crazy doing all those things every single day without having to get at least a single reply from you. And now I’m so anxious to see you but the moment you saw me, you tried avoiding me! Yah! I told you I can wait but of course I need at least a little bit of attention but you gave me none. If you were planning to dump me even from the very beginning..” Rian suddenly kissed JB on the lips cutting off whatever he had more to say. JB was flustered.

“You talk too much.” Rian said after giving him a peck.

JB’s eyes grew wide. “Yah! You’re not taking me seriously, are you?”

Rian gave him another kiss on the lips, this time a little longer.

“Of course I am. You’re the one who’s not serious. Why aren’t you kissing back?” Rian pouted.

“What’s that supposed to mean?” JB was a little confused but he can’t help but smile now.

“Your waiting has finally paid off.” Rian bashfully said to JB.

“Neh?”

“Yah! You heard me right.”

“Chincha?”  He couldn’t help it now and pulled Rian into an embrace. He hugged her tightly. “Kumowa for trusting me again. Chongmal Kamsamnida Rian ah. I miss you so much.”

Rian hugged back. “Nado. Bugoshipo.”

After a moment, Rian broke free from their hug and started searching something on JB’s pockets.

“Yah! What do you think are you doing now? Is that how liberated abroad?”

“Pabo! You’re thinking too much! I was looking for this one!” Rian revealed his wallet to him. “I needed to confirm something.” Rian the opened his wallet. And she started tearing up a bit at the photo she saw.

“Lemme guess. Nana told you that, right?”

“Ani. It was Haesung.” Rian was now sniffing.

“Chincha? She knew that too?” JB stooped his head.

“Pabo. Why did you have to hurt us both?” She said in between sobs.

“I didn’t mean to.” JB wiped her tears.

“Hara. HS explained to me everything. I understand you better now. I have one more thing to tell you, remember last time when I threw all your shoes in front of you?”

“Ohh. “ JB shortly answered.

“When I came back on the room, I saw that it was all back to normal. Were you the one who put back the shoes on my box?”

“Ohh. They were my treasures, remember? I can’t let that be thrown just like that. Besides, they’re our couple rings.”

“I knew it. That’s why I still kept all those shoes with me. I even brought them with me abroad.”

“Chincha? You really loved me so much, don’t you?” JB started to lean in closer and held her face. “ But you have to know this, I love you more.” With that, JB sealed everything with a kiss.

The kiss was gentle and sweet.

“Thank you for waiting for me.” Rian whispered to JB.

“It’s all worth it. I only got angry earlier because I missed you so much.”

“Harrasso.” Rian looked at him dearly.

JB was about to kiss her again when YJ ed them. “Just to remind you,this is not yet your honeymoon. Kaja! Join us on picture taking.”

With that, they happily followed YJ and took photos of them together and with everyone.

keke. sorry for the wait. And sorry for a short final chapter. I don't know how to end it better than that so it basically turned out like that, how was it? Anways, I decided to include HS on the scene to make things better for JB and Rian. As for Nicole, I thought she was cute to be YJ's girl. Haha.
