It's been a long while since I last wrote a fanfic (about four years).  This is my first SHINee fanfic.  I hope you enjoy!

Here's a list of characters and details about them to help you get acquainted:

Penelope (Kit's best friend):
Outgoing and loves to cause trouble; a free spirit.  She thinks Kit is too timid and reproachful.  Penelope always pushes Kit out of her comfort zone, which isn’t a bad thing, for the most part.

Kit:
Timid and shy at first, she also observes people closely.  Once you get to know her, she’s very opinionated and has a strong personality.  She’s in school to study art.  She loves painting, but plans on becoming an art gallery curator when she finishes college.

Onew:
He's thoughtful, but he sometimes tries too hard to fit in and be liked, resulting in him being viewed as even more of an oddball and outcast.  He's a very mature person otherwise who always takes other's feeilngs into consideration before his own.

Key:
He’s flamboyant, outgoing, likable, and very comfortable in his ways.  He has a crush on Jonghyun, but can’t admit it to any of his band mates.  Jonghyun doesn’t question him, because he sees Key is always texting various girl group members.  Little does Jonghyun know, Key’s actually only texting them because they’re the only ones he can confide in about his one sided love.

Taemin:
Thrown into the K-pop world at such a young age, he’s always told himself just how lucky he is.  Except now, he’s starting to question if that’s what he really wants for himself.  He’s very close to Onew, who he always seeks for advice.

Minho:
A very guarded person.  He never talks about his emotions to others, even when confronted about them.  Taemin is the only one who can really get him to talk, and even that is rare.

Jonghyun:
Shows insecurity through arrogance.  While he’s outgoing and accepted by all the people that love him for his image, he really wants to be accepted for himself as person more than anything.
