All the laughter and the simple smiles we share just sitting under our favorite tree, it makes everything seem so easy to believe. He tells a joke and I laugh. He tries to get my attention and I smile at his dorkiness. My heart, its beating so fast.

Its funny how he’s always there for me and how we always seem to think of the same thing. And its funny how I’m scared of falling for him yet at the same time I’m sure he’ll catch me. It’s so easy to believe in us.

We were casually walking around the park today. We found nothing good to do and walking seemed to be a pretty nice activity for today’s weather.

“Hey, Kevin.”

“Yeah?” He was staring at the high trees surrounding the cobblestone path we were on.

“How long have we been friends?” I ask as I skip around.

“Well, I remember being friends for a year and a half then becoming best friends for 3 years.” I laughed at his little comments.

“I was thinking about something.”

“Yeah, same here.” Nothing new there. Having the same thoughts were natural for us.

“You go first.”

“No, you go first. You might have the better thought.”

“What? No way, ladies’ first!” We stop in the middle of the path as we argued.

“No, I want you to go first!”

“Well, why don’t we just say it at the same time?”

“Okay.” I breathe in and so does he. I’m gonna do this right.

“I think we should step up our relationship.” I say.

“I think we should start going out.” He says.

We both laugh. It was the same thing just in different words. Why are we so weird?

“So, since we’re on the same page, I’m guessing, we’re official now?”

I nodded and smile at him before remembering something.

“Kevin, before we start this, like start-start, let’s take it slow please.” I don’t make the same mistakes.

“It’s fine. I don’t mind. Just remember, I won’t let you go.”

“And I won’t let us fall.”

“That’s my girl.” I smile as he pulls me in for a tight hug.

Isn’t it so easy to believe in us?

Yeah, even I'm kind of disappointed.

Who knows? Maybe someday, I'll go back on this and lengthen it a bit more.

For now, it'll stay like this~
