Description

A long passed Author known as Edward Abbey once said “Power is always dangerous. Power attracts the worst and corrupts the best” and the Gander Corporation was one of the worst, a transnational corporation that to the outside world seems like a charitable organisation helping the unfortunate. Yet, on the inside the corporation was dark, cruel and sordid, as the fairmont asylum was home to their inhumane experiments in hopes of making a super soldier - ultimate weapon of war.

“We didn't choose any of this. Why should we have to pay for it? Why do we have to die? Why are we tortured, hurt and killed? just for being sick. We're still people... We didn't choose this”

“They’re our chance at success, as a new future for humanity. Do think of all the power and money we could make from a being able to withstand more than a normal human”

Time to put my medal on

Whose blood to spill?

I don't know

Whose side I'm on?

“The corporation took so much from us all, they used us and abused us. Turned us into these…these things because no one cares about a few forgotten lunatics”

“They are just numbers on our sheets, and nobodies with no life beyond nothingness. We’ve gave them a meaning, helping our future”

Two armies are coming at me

Their flags and weapons look the same

One tells the truth, the other's lying

And they're both calling my name

“They were making me a weapon, a weapon of destruction and maybe I am….a beast”

“There are more victims in this place, than there are actual monsters”

Most of the experiments labelled as Variants brought into Fairmont were inmates, homeless people or people down on their luck, but case number 6 was born into this unethical place. The girl was ripped apart and put back together again, injected and drained. She was put through unimaginable torture, and although she survived every time. She was deemed a failure, and the Fairmont soon fell into darkness after an outbreak caused by her hatred.

“You knew what they were doing to me? You always knew, but when the chance for me to be freed from the suffering came up? When you had the chance to object, what did you do? What did you do?….nothing”

“I was nothing more then a ant a mere worker…I had no power there”

This is how villains are made

This is how villains are made

Ooh, ooh

No one ever starts that way

But this is how villains are made

“Who is more heinous? Me? Or you? The woman who turned a blind eye to that child’s suffering and fed her sweet nothings, pretending you cared when all you cared about was the money”

“I can never make up for the pain and suffering I caused, but I can try and lead a better example from now by stopping that corporation”

Now, case number 6 was an adult, and she was far from a failure. For the experiments have turned her into a monster, and her pain and her hate festered inside her to bring form of a beast. Number 6 and the other variants lived in the abandoned asylum, and they planned to seek revenge but number 6 seeks more of the dream of protecting them all from further harm.

“Forgotten lunatics, numbers on a page….to me they’re family, they’re my people and I will set them free. If you object to that then I guess you will burn too”

“The girl I once knew was sweet and kind, she was human but your nothing but the monster they made”

There lies my sanity

There goes my mind, I could not save

I don't trust what I see right in front of me

I don't know who to betray

“The Fairmont was a failure for sure, and it fell into disrepair but with disrepair we can repair. The Gander corporation will continue on with Project SS”

“Except the project may not have failed there my sir, for there is whispers of a growing power in that place…a girl”

So, follow number 6 as she grows into her own person, as her powers grow, her dreams grow, and as she fights to free herself, her people from the darkness of their lives. Follow her as she experiences the world and experiences love, loss, betrayal, pain and hate.

“We got swept up in this mess when we met her, but she became our friend our family and we’re loyal just like she is”

“There’s nothing more dangerous than a being scorned by pain and hatred who tasted the feelings of love and happiness, only for it to be destroyed or stolen”

This is how villains are made

This is how villains are made

Ooh

So easily we're persuaded

When the lines are blurred and faded

No one ever starts that way

But this is how villains are made

This is how villains are made

“They know nothing about pain, but will when I’m done with them. They will know what true pain feels like”

This story is going to be very dark, morbid and horrifying, it will have its light moments and I do plan a happy ending but it’s going to be a dark and twisted story. So, do be cautious with this story, and make sure you read all the warnings I have tagged, and if anything possibly triggers or offends you then do not read any further. Do please read at your own discretion, thank you!

This story was inspired by not only a dream I had, but also by the horror game series Outlast, Outlast: whistleblower & Outlast trials. As well as the horror gameplay I watched by Hollow, so you’ll find references and stuff brought in from those.
