"Ah! Who is that woman next to her?!" Byul exclaimed hotly, her grip crushing the leaves of the potted plant they were hiding behind of.

Her eyes were glaring at a spot just a few feet across from them, and the woman who had caused such a reaction in the striker suspiciously turned her head in their direction, Byul's voice being a tad bit too loud than it should be.

Hyejin barely resisted slapping a hand to her forehead. Although this was all Byul's idea, the athlete couldn't be subtle to save her life.

Byul had a crush on the new manager the moment that Kim Yongsun stepped inside the court where the girls football team club were gathered.

Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding on age differences, Byul left the apparently older girl with a bad impression of her and Yongsun had been steering clear of her ever since.

Not one to be easily detered, Byul doubled down on her efforts to get closer to the older girl, not the least of which consisted of running to her like a puppy during breaks in between their training, citing that she needed water straight from Yongsun's own tumbler.

When the older woman pointed out how Byul's own bottle was sitting on the bench that held the player's things, the player cheekily replied by saying that the water that touched Yongsun's own lips was the only kind that could quench her thirst.

A very red bruise on her teammate's temple later, Hyejin could say that her quips didn't really end well for Byul. Nothing seemed to, so far.

There was even a time when Byul purposely forgot to bring her training shoes, hoping that would bring her under Yongsun's attention. All it did was worsen her image in the manager's eyes. Hyejin had opted not to share to Byul that she had heard the manager mumbling about how Byul was not only lacking maturity but also commitment in her role in the team.

Hyejin would laugh if her friend weren't so pitiful. It was probably this misplaced sympathy that made her say yes when Byul had practically begged her to accompany her as she tailed Yongsun after their Saturday morning training.

Byul had been asking Yongsun out every after their weekend practice, but unsurprisingly, the manager had only been rejecting her. Byul suspected that she was actually dating someone, though for the life of her Hyejin doesn't know why she thought so as Yongsun practically spent every moment of her time handling matters related to the club, but Byul insisted on confirming her own imagination and finding out once and for all what Kim Yongsun did after breaking her heart every time they met.

Hyejin was only snapped out her musings when she heard Byul practically growling, torn pieces of leaves pooling at her feet as she remained with a sharp stare at Yongsun and the unknown woman who stood next to her. Byul had started frothing at the mouth when she saw the woman put a hand on Yongsun's lower back, directing them to start walking in the opposite direction of them.

"Stop that." Hyejin half-heartedly scolded the athlete. She removed Byul's hand from the poor plant, whispering an apology under her breath for the destruction her friend had caused.

Byul still had an eagle eye on the pair as they walked away. "No way am I gonna give up just like that! Let's go, Hyejin!" She had already began strolling away before finishing her sentence.

Hyejin only shook her head, turning to follow her admittedly dumb but endearing friend.

Weirdly enough, the woman who was with Yongsun looked a lot like herself.

(Yonghee: That plant just moved.

Yongsun: *sighs* Yeah, that's Byul.

Yonghee: Who is Byul and why is she glaring at me from behind a plant?

Yongsun: Don't ask.)
