“Appa, kkajima… Umma and Unnie need you so much. And I need you too so why are you doing this to us? We haven’t done anything wrong, why are you leaving? Why?” ______ was crying on the floor begging her Appa not to leave them.

“I’m sorry ____ but I have to go. She’s waiting for me. I have a new family now and I have no right to stay here.” Her Appa flung her off and left her there crying on the floor. He took one last look at his daughter before walking out the door. ____ went back into the living room where her Unnie and Umma were crying together. Just looking at the state they were in, her heart broke. She went over trying to comfort them but soon broke down herself. 

Wae? Why does this happen to me? Why does this have to happen to my family? What have we done that is so bad? Just why? Why…

______woke up with tears streaming down her face. “Otteokhe? I can’t forget…” she sighed and lifted her bag up. She knew that there was no turning back as she picked up her phone she saw the picture of her, her Unnie and Umma. Korea was the place she had always wanted to go to in her dreams and now she had finally achieved it. She left her friends, family and most importantly the pain all behind her.
