The year is 1995, Toy Story just released, Waterfalls by TLC is the most recent hit, the internet just launched and you’re on your way from Missouri to Calgary in the midst of a beautiful, warm summer. A long plane ride, having to venture over vast land and forests. Your gaze out the window was dull, seeing miles and miles of trees.

What you didn’t expect was the flames, a flurry of fire that took over the wings of the plane and before you knew it, the plane was rumbling like an earthquake, and the screaming. Oh god, the screaming. Next thing you know, you wake up outside. You see the smoky sky and large trees. You take a moment to collect yourself. Looking around, there’s people screaming, people wounded, people dead. The remains of the plane are on the ground with you. You survived a plane crash, but where are you? Judging by the trees, you’re in a vast forest. The plane ride presumes you’re in Canada somewhere. The wind is soft and the heat is flushed out by the trees to create only a moderate heat, but you expect that heat will be gone by night.

The Emerald Forest is an realistic roleplay about surviving in the wilderness of Canada after a plane crash. You have limited supplies, you’re with a bunch of strangers, and many are injured or dead. This is a roleplay about how you will survive out in the woods with many others coming together with the same goal: to survive until rescue comes.
