If you would ask Kim Minjeong what is the biggest regret in her life if, she would answer in a heartbeat.

“Not confessing my real feelings to my bestfriend Yu Karina”

Those are the words that played in her mind like a broken record as she saw her whole life flashed before her eyes. The moments she shared with Karina repeating over and over again as her body started to become numb. The impact of the speeding car colliding against her body a few seconds ago long forgotten as she now hangs between life and death.

“I really hate dying souls that have so much regrets in their life. It makes my job so much harder. Instead of just picking them up and accompanying them in the afterlife, I still need to stick around for their trials.”

A loud and almost inhumane voice filled Minjeong’s ears as she saw a black silhouette against her blurry vision.

“Do you want another chance to live and confess?”

The figure asked and Minjeong readily gave an almost non-existent nod. She did not care about anything.  She just wants to have that chance.

Kim Minjeong, 23 years of age born January 1, 2001. A loving daughter and sibling. Hopelessly in love with her bestfriend Yu Karina for 10 years. I, Senior Grim Reaper Son Seungwan, in the name of almighty Kim Boa, the Goddess of Death, hereby grants you the chance to participate in the trials of Love and Death.

The rules are simple:

If you managed to make Karina kiss you without revealing your real identity, you will get another chance to live.

Five chances Kim Minjeong

You have five chances to fulfill the task.

Another snap of a finger as a blinding light filled Minjeong’s vision as she felt her body floating in the air. As soon as she opened her eyes, she is greeted by a picturesque scenery. Green leaves filled her vision as the humming of birds and the soft rustling of wind bless her ears. A scroll then presented itself in front of her eyes as the words.

SLEEPING BEAUTY

Is written in big bold letters followed the picture of Karina sleeping inside the abandoned castle.

This made her realize that she is inside a fairytale.

She then remembered the task at hand. In Minjeong’s mind, this will be a piece of cake…

… that is until she realized.

She is not the prince in the white horse ready to kiss and awaken Princess Karina

But rather, she is a vine stuck at the side of one of the castle’s towers.

“Oh sh*t…”

That’s the only thing she managed to say.
