GIMP Innovations
Hey guys. sorry for not updating in forever. ^^;;
we're both really busy and tired because of school and stuff... (tiff is on some sort of long hiatus haha)
i'm trying my best to answer your questions and stuff. :']
Anyway, this tutorial will be about text along path.

EXAMPLES OF TEXT ALONG PATH:
Text along path is a really good skill to use for cute posters and stuff. :) It takes a few tries to perfect though.
Step 1: Create your path.
Use the path tool and make whatever your heart desires. :)
Or you can create a path from a selection.
Step 2: Create your text
Adjust the size so the text will fit on your path.
That will surely be a problem for a lot of you. Don't just give up and come crying to me if it doesn't work the first time--
Practice makes perfect.
*Make sure the text is in a single line:
single line: gimp innovations
NOT a single line: gimp
innovations
*Color doesn't matter at this point
Step 3: Right click the text layer and press
Text along path
Step 4: There should be a red outline of your text along the path now.
You can delete or hide your text layer now.
Create a new layer.
Go to your paths dialog. If you dont have it then go to:
windows>dockable dialogs>paths
The path you just made should be named after whatever your text was called and is the visible one.
Right click that path.
Press path to selection.
Hide or delete the path after that.
Step 5: Go back to the new layer you just created.
Fill in the selection with a color, pattern, etc.
*When doing that, make sure under "affected area," "whole selection" is chosen
You're done! :)
Hope you guys enjoyed the tut. ^^
