⤷     muhandae entertainment, or just MHD for short, is best known for the many well respected actors and actresses that have called it home for more than twenty years now. a quiet but notable company, it would remain just as it had for many years until 2016 when the CEO decided to throw caution to the wind and began construction on a new wing of the building. 

struck suddenly and without warning with the idea of a lifetime, mr. choi sat in the board meeting one fine summer day and revealed his plan, one that he hoped would elevate and challenge the status quo. 

"you want to take in idol trainees?" one member asked, shocked. the room then flooded with whispers. 

the doubtful glances didn't phase mr. choi, however. in his many years in this industry, he knew how to make a point and sell it. 

"if we don't evolve and grow, we'll simply be carried off by the rising river, gentlemen." he began, taking to his feet. 

"to innovate and push forward is how the great minds of history moved forward and so should we lest we fall behind." 

the board concurred, if only quietly so but soon the refurbished wing would finish construction, giving mr. choi the final piece for his vision. 

and in march of 2017, the time to strike arrived and from the spring of 2017 through to the late summer of 2018, mr. choi and MHD began to took in trainees for their new idol training facility. it marked a new era for the company and moreso, fresh blood flowing through it's halls. 

inspired, mr. choi and his appointed director of the program, a former assistant director from a larger company named lim minji, began to brainstorm ideas, excited for what the future held. 

"trends always cycle back," began minji one evening at a staff meeting. "but the wisest of companies set them for others to follow. we should be bold with our pool of female trainees." 

minji smiled, pulling up her research. eyeing the room, she straightened her posture and held her head high.

"our girls will be everything all at once-- a blinding white light and the very prism that separates them into their own unique colors. they'll be bold but demure, bright but mysterious-- they'll be everything." 

minji's smile widened as she spoke, her confidence like an oil that slowly ignited twinkling fires in the others eyes. 

"girls of their own colors but limitless in what colors they could be-- both the artist's palette of color and the blank canvas itself. the essence of the color and all it represents." 

"our girls will be the moment and will define it as they see fit-- they'll be MOoD RING."

   much like the trinkets of their namesake, the girls will have the concept of being mysterious and colorful, having many colors within themselves to present to the world at large. 

 they will portray the hidden feelings of the man colors that we subconsciously take note of when gazing upon them. 

∎ MOODS  eventually, the girls will break into moods or units that represent specific colors and the moods that come to mind with them.

⤷ BLUE // this mood will show up later but will act as a umbrella for those times when members are absent for schedules or hiatus and kind of act as a NCT U of sorts

⤷ RED // this mood will be bright and effrevescent btu a little off in a charming way. playful but a little odd

⤷ PINK // this mood will be teen crush/high teen in concept. it'll be cute but spunky and full of the energy of the younger members. a fresh but fun sort of energy

⤷ BLACK // this mood will be girl crush and badass in concept. the girls are bold and the music matches

⤷ PURPLE // this mood will have an elegant, royal sort of energy, very pretty and high class, fragile but not brittle, strong but subtly so
